🚨NOW: Journalist Truth on the streets is documenting the severe mental illness, addiction, and human suffering on the streets of Portland.

Federal officials recently cited data stating that 78% of homeless Americans suffer from mental illness and 75% struggle with drug addiction.

Yet Portland and other major cities continue to rely heavily on Housing First policies that critics argue fail to adequately address the addiction and mental health crises playing out in plain sight.

A disturbing scene captured on the streets of Portland shows a homeless woman writhing in traffic in the pouring rain amid the city’s ongoing mental health, drug, and homelessness crisis.

Scenes like this have fueled criticism about how Portland and other American cities respond to severe addiction, mental illness, and homelessness on their streets.

🚨 SEATTLE: Neighbors near a North Seattle permanent supportive housing complex say a resident defecated in a homeowner’s driveway Monday morning.

Residents around DESC’s Clement Place say they’ve dealt with ongoing fights, drug use, 911 calls, and other problems spilling into their neighborhood.

This is another example of the consequences of Seattle’s “Housing First” approach and the burden surrounding communities are being forced to bear.

Billions are being spent to combat homelessness, yet drug addiction, severe mental illness, and human suffering remain visible on the streets of major American cities.

Simply providing housing without adequately addressing untreated mental illness and substance abuse fails to confront what's driving the deeper into crisis.

Seattle’s street crisis is reaching a BREAKING POINT.

Open-air drug use, crime and stolen goods surged on 12th and Jackson in Seattle over the weekend. The socialist mayor, Katie Wilson, is silent and the police are nowhere to be found. This is receiving ZERO media coverage from major outlets in the area.
