Did you know that placing leftover food scraps in the compost bin gives them a second life by turning them into nutrient-rich soil? Place your fruit and vegetable scraps to your compost bin to help reduce waste and landfill waste. 🥬🍎

As we anticipate the launch of our new Maple Valley Recology Store, we are continuing to host pop-up events. On Friday, June 19th and June 26th, Maple Valley residents can drop off limited quantities of the following hard-to-recycle items: batteries, fluorescent bulbs, textiles, books, electronics, small appliances, Styrofoam, and small propane canisters. Please note: we will not accept any other hard-to-recycle items beyond those listed.♻️

Mending is easy to learn and gives life to items you already own. It can save you money, reduce waste, and minimize the demand for new products.

We celebrated Public Works Week in Issaquah by showcasing our newest EV sideload garbage truck! This exciting step demonstrates our commitment to sustainability, while helping us reduce emissions and provide reliable service to the community. ♻️
