Pacific Northwest Ayurveda

A Six Class/Six Week Series Taught by Dr. Dhaval Dhru
at our new location. The Samarya Center, in the downstairs yoga studio (1806 E. Yesler Way)
All on Wednesday evenings starting October 3rd.
from 6:30-8:30pm *

These classes are for everyone and anyone who wants to understand ayurveda and integrate it in daily life for better health and wellness for self, family and friends.

Topics are as followed, each *Wednesday night:

10/3 1. Introduction to Ayurveda
We will understand basic philosophy of Ayurveda, including the theory of 5 Elements, 3 Doshas, and individual constitution. We will learn regarding the state of balance and imbalance, and factors responsible for the same.

10/10 2. Digestion and Nutrition
We will understand Ayurvedic concept of body physiology, digestion and nutrition. We will discuss healthy and helpful dietary guidelines for wellbeing.

10/10 3. Daily and Seasonal Routine
The discussion will be focused on steps we incorporate in our daily routine to maintain
balance and how these may need to be changed according to the seasons so as to live in harmony with nature.

*10/24 No Class Tonight, we take a break.

10/31 4. Ayurvedic Psychology and Stress Management
We will discuss Ayurvedic concepts of mind and its function. We will try to understand from Ayurvedic perspective the stress and stress management.

11/14 5. Rasayana and Rejuvenation
This session will be devoted to understanding Ayurvedic concept of Aging and how longevity and healthy aging can be accomplished using Ayurvedic knowledge of Rasayana and rejuvenation.

11/17 6. Ayurvedic Management of Common Chronic Conditions.
We will talk about Ayurvedic concepts of Health and Disease and discuss a few helpful steps to manage some chronic health problems like weight, metabolism etc.


Cost is $45 each class as a drop in.

Cost to purchase the series as a whole will be 6 classes for the price of 5 for a total of $225.00. If you order this series and pay in full by August 31st, you will receive a 10% discount.
