Have you ever paid attention to the point of view your favorite novels are told from? The perspective an author chooses to tell the story from strongly affects how a reader experiences the events that unfold.

Want to learn how to make an informed choice about your own novel's POV? Join me this month for "Point of View: Choosing the Best Lens for Your Story."

In this 90-minute online workshop, we’ll explore the many point of view options available to novelists and learn how each one shapes the way readers experience a story. We’ll look at examples and practice techniques for choosing and writing the point of view that best serves your story.

Eight years ago today, I wore mismatched shoes to the first day of school. It was a total accident that I didn’t realize until about halfway though the day (seriously), and it planted the first seeds to the upmarket novel I’m now querying: The Teachers’ Lounge.

Whenever I read a novel now, I always wonder what nuggets of truth are hiding within the pages.
