🌞 Summer is in full swing at BYC Kids, and we’ve kicked things off with a wild, wonderful adventure into The Great Outdoors! 🌿⛺️

Over the past two weeks, our campers have hiked waterfalls at Snoqualmie Falls, played in the tide at Lincoln Park, explored secret trails at Discovery Park, and soaked up the sun at Carkeek Beach. From finding treasures to climbing trees, it’s been nothing short of magical! 💦🍃✨

But we’re just getting started…

🎨 Each week brings a brand-new theme—in the mornings we dive deep into creative projects that we build on day by day, and in the afternoons, we take it outside to hike, explore, splash, and PLAY. Even during Theater Camp we’re out there being wild and free—because summer’s meant to be lived the old-fashioned way!

🌟 Upcoming Camps:
🖌️ Art Camp – Mixed Media, Comic Books, Clay, Lego Art… it’s a maker’s dream!
🎭 Theater Camp – Skits, improv, scriptwriting & a grand final day performance!
🌊 Beach Camp – Tide pools, driftwood creations, swimming, and shell collecting!
🌲 The Great Outdoors – Parks, gardens, waterfalls, and trails galore!

I’m excited to announce that we’ve officially changed the name of Ballard Yoga Collective to Ballard Youth Creative!

It took some time to decide how to keep the recognizable “BYC” in our name, especially since it has become familiar to the elementary schools and our broader community. I wanted to find a name that truly represents who we are, what we stand for, and the work we’re doing. As we continue to expand into the world of creative arts, this new name felt like the perfect fit.

Ballard Youth Creative will continue to grow and evolve, with the goal of becoming a legitimate and recognized name here in Seattle, offering an inclusive creative arts school for all. We are excited to continue this journey with you and to see how our community continues to flourish.
