There’s a quiet kind of strength in believing things will fall into place long before you can see how. That hope becomes its own kind of power.

Life gets a little lighter when you stop gripping so tightly and start trusting the timing you’re given. There’s a quiet kind of freedom in releasing what you can’t control and choosing peace anyway.

Life gets a little sweeter when you slow down long enough to notice the good parts, learn from the hard ones, and keep giving yourself permission to start again whenever you need to.

Bea clocked in ready to herd goats… Instead she got six tiny chaos goblins who scatter like they’ve got felony warrants.

Gauge steps in looking like the exhausted middle manager who deeply regrets opening his email.

You think your job is hard? Bea’s out here herding literal cats 🤣

Disclaimer for the Concerned Internet Aunties:
No kittens were harmed in the making of this reel 😂 Gauge is a certified kitten‑snuggler, and Bea is supervised — though honestly, the kittens usually put her in her place with a well‑aimed paw to the nose.

A new chapter begins — Okay, we’ve been sitting on this for a while… our very first LaMancha kids to be born on our farm are officially on the way 😍 The does are glowing, I’m buzzing, and we couldn’t be more excited. Stay tuned — it’s almost time.

This was the day I bought my first horse — a dream I’d carried since I was little. I remember smiling so big it felt unreal. This moment reminds me of the Robert Frost poem about choosing the path less traveled… and how those choices have shaped my life in the most meaningful ways.

Winter on the farm means Bea’s nightly bath routine is officially back. She runs so fast she kicks mud all the way up her belly—some evenings I’m convinced she’s managed to get it in her eyeballs. Most nights it’s a quick rinse, but she still gives me the “world’s saddest dog” look every single time. She’s such a good sport.

Peanut has officially decided that “personal space” is a myth. This tiny house goat followed me all the way to the shower like she pays rent around here. Life on the farm means zero privacy and 100% adorable interruptions.

It’s easy to let the little things chip away at your peace, but life feels different when you slow down long enough to notice the beauty right in front of you. There’s so much to be thankful for when you choose to see it.

I’m thankful every time I open my freezer and see beef that was born and raised on a farm in Duvall, WA — and lamb and pork raised right here on my own land. That’s real, local food.

The administration’s move to import cheap beef hits more than just ranchers. It hits the hay farmers, the feed stores, the welders and mechanics who keep equipment running, and the local butchers who make small‑scale meat possible.

When we buy direct from farmers, we keep our communities alive. We keep our food system resilient. We keep our sovereignty — because a nation that depends on foreign food is a nation that can’t stand on its own.

Local meat isn’t just food. It’s security.

If you buy local meat, what inspired you to make that change? And if you haven’t tried it yet, what questions or concerns do you have?

I am deeply saddened for all of the AMERICAN BEEF RANCHERS & thier families.... 🥺 I apologize for what is happening right now. 🫶

We stand with you. As we, The Hayes', were once YOU! I truly hope and pray people are paying attention and buying American Beef.. 🙏

Consumers please understand this isn't a win... Cheaper Beef isn't the solution. This is such a massive blow and loss, and will affect many, many American Beef Farming Farmilies.

I cannot imagine the gut punch feeling of waking up to this devastating News. 😭😢

I completely understand, how from the consumer side, this may feel like a win. But it's not. Please understand when a a win hurts hundreds to thousands of Beef farming families it's NOT a win. And though Beef prices may temporarily drip, understand this isn't viable, not for the consumer, not for the farmer, and not as a whole for thr Ag community of families, who work tirelessly to feed you.

If you aren't buying direct NOW, more than ever, is the time to put your money where your mouth is... Stand up and show the Ag community you stand with American Farming Families, not above them, but beside them. 🫶

Ignore the US Flag on labels. USDA inspected doesn't mean: born, raised, and slaughtered in the US..
Look for 👉 "Born & Raised in the US".. This means born, raised, and slaughtered in the US. Even Product of the USA doesn't necessarily mean born and raised in the US. Beef packagers want to confuse you. Don't be confused by their false advertising practices. Know the difference. Knowledge is Power. 💪

God Bless American Farmers. 🙌 🇺🇸
