From New Year’s traditions to lantern festivals, tomorrow’s meeting is a celebration of some of Japan’s most meaningful and vibrant cultural events. 🎍🎎🎏🎋🏮

Toastmaster Marika Mikuriya will be leading us through the theme “Major Japanese Celebrations” — an evening inspired by the festivals, customs, and seasonal traditions that bring people together across Japan.

Expect thoughtful speeches, cultural discoveries, and plenty of opportunities to learn something new while sharpening your public speaking skills.

And after the meeting, stick around for our monthly Post Toast Prost at Good Society Brewing — a chance to keep the conversations going over food and drinks with fellow Toasties. 🍻

Picture this: the Seattle Mariners in the World Series. The only MLB team to never make it there has finally done the impossible. Seattle has collectively lost its mind. ⚾🌧️

Toastmaster James Bush is leading us through the theme “Mariners in the World Series!” in tonight’s meeting — a celebration (or perhaps a thought experiment?) around what might happen if Seattle’s baseball dreams finally came true.

Expect hometown spirit, lively speeches, and plenty of opportunities to imagine the city in full playoff chaos.

Pickleball… controversial? In West Seattle?? Apparently, yes!

This Thursday, April 30th, Toastmaster Michael Brunner is diving into the very serious (and possibly divisive) topic of pickleball — and what’s going on with our neighbors over in West Seattle.

Come for the speeches, stay for the perspective… and maybe pick a side while you’re at it.

And after the meeting, we’re heading to Good Society Brewing for our monthly Post Toast Prost, 8:45-close.

Get ready to get frivolous with us! This evening, April 9th, Toastmaster Lily Gordon is bringing the theme Frivolity ✨

We’ll explore the idea of frivolity — what it means, what gets labeled as “frivolous,” and how those definitions can shift depending on perspective. Expect a mix of reflection, curiosity, and conversation around the things we don’t always take seriously.

Join us for an evening of fresh perspectives, engaging speeches, and a bit of fun along the way.

Join us as Toastmaster Cristina Rodriguez leads us through the theme How a Little Becomes a Lot ✨

Inspired by the work of Eric Zimmer, this meeting explores how small, consistent actions can build into something meaningful over time. Whether it’s in speaking, leadership, or everyday life, the little things add up.

Join us for an evening of reflection, growth, and connection.

This Thursday, March 26th, Toastmaster Kelly Fitzgerald is leading us through the theme Taxes: April Fools Gone Wrong?

In the spirit of the season, we’ll take a lighthearted look at taxes (because many of us wish they were just a prank). Kelly will kick things off with a bit of history behind taxes and April Fools’ Day, followed by some surprising stories and a look at where federal tax dollars go.

After the meeting, join us for a nightcap! We’ll head to Good Society Brewing for our monthly Post Toast Prost, 8:45-10pm.
