As we celebrate Protos all month long, the Sunshine Committee spread a little extra joy by rolling through with the snack cart to brighten our staff's day!

Decked out in teal in honor of Protos, the snack cart brought plenty of smiles, laughter, and appreciation to our amazing staff members. Thank you to the Sunshine Committee for making sure our team feels celebrated and supported as we continue to build a positive school culture.

🦋 Club Highlight 🦋

A special thank you to Heritage Community Farm for providing butterflies for our students to release this morning! Students had the opportunity to learn about the butterfly life cycle, including the incredible transformations and journeys these beautiful creatures experience.

The highlight of the morning was watching the butterflies take flight, and a few lucky students even stood still long enough for a butterfly to land on them! It was a memorable hands-on learning experience that brought science to life and created lasting memories for our students.

🎉🏠 HOUSES, HOUSES, HOUSES! 🏠🎉

At Whale Branch Middle School, we build school spirit, relationships, and pride through the Ron Clark Academy House System! 💙💚❤️💛

Last week, our 6th graders and new students experienced the excitement of randomly selecting their house and becoming part of a school family that will support and encourage them throughout the year.

This week, we held our first House Meeting, where students connected with the adults in their houses, learned their house chants, signs, colors, and traditions, and began building lasting bonds with their fellow house members. 🏡✨

To wrap up the celebration, students created vision boards, setting goals and dreaming big for an amazing year ahead! 🌟

We can't wait to see our houses compete, collaborate, and lead with excellence all year long. Let the house spirit begin! 🔥🐳

✅ First full week of school: SUCCESS!

It has been wonderful seeing our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students building relationships, learning routines, and creating new friendships at WBMS. The positive energy and excitement have been contagious!

Our dedicated staff has been hard at work preparing for the arrival of our students, and we are ready to make this the best school year yet!

Join us tomorrow evening to meet our amazing staff, learn about our programs and opportunities, and get ready for a successful year of learning and growth. We can't wait to welcome everyone back!

Parents and Guardians,

Due to not having all the necessary items needed to distribute student computer devices, we will not be issuing devices today. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding.

Parents are still welcome to come by today to make a device payment or confirm that payment has been received.

Student devices will be available for pickup during Open House on Wednesday August 5th, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Students will also receive their devices on the first day of school, Friday August 7th. if they have not already picked them up.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for a great school year.
