Someone told me recently that it was nice of me to share the spotlight at an event.⁠

I was genuinely surprised. To me that is just good manners.⁠
⁠
But it made me realize how deeply we have been taught to compete, as if every introduction we make costs us something.⁠
⁠
It does not. We are not meant to serve everyone.⁠
⁠
What I say lands differently than what someone else says, even in the very same room, because we have lived different lives. Someone out there needs my version. Someone else needs theirs.⁠
⁠
The people who are meant to find me will find me. And if an introduction I make leads someone to work with someone else, wonderful. It is their transformation that matters, not who gets credit for it.⁠

The moment you stop protecting your share, you find out how much there actually is.

The hardest year of my life taught me the most about who I am.

Most people are exhausted from work that was never going to move them forward.⁠

You can have a full calendar and an empty year. You can answer every email and finish every task and still be no closer to the thing you actually said you wanted.⁠
⁠
The fix is not working harder. It is getting honest about what matters.⁠
⁠
Pick your three most important tasks tomorrow morning and do those first, before the day gets loud. Then look at your calendar this week and ask one question of every item on it: does this take me where I want to go? If the answer is no, delegate it, delay it, or delete it.⁠

You do not win by doing everything. You win by doing what counts.

Mike and I are celebrating 46 years married today!⁠

I always love looking through old photos. That wedding day picture gets me every time. We were so young and so certain, with no idea what was ahead of us.⁠
⁠
People ask what the secret is. There isn't one, but if I had to name something, it is this: separate bathrooms (kidding, mostly).⁠
⁠
The real answer is that we respect each other. Mike sees the world his way, I see it mine, and somewhere in the middle we built a life neither of us could have built alone.⁠

After all these years I still love sharing life with this man. Happy anniversary, Mike ❤️
