Maybe you are trying to be in too many places at one time.

And by too many places, I mean too many social media channels.

You are living in a world where as online coaches and entrepreneurs, content is king.

You use your content as a way to connect with your people - education, inspire, entertain, and keep a finger on the pulse of what they are needing right now in their life & business.

Because content is king, we are constantly being told to be everywhere.

Omni-present.

I don’t know about you, but when I started my business (and even sometimes now) being everywhere is overwhelming.

It can also be counter-productive.

When we are overwhelmed, the tenancy is to not do the thing that overwhelms us or to do less of it.

Also - every social media platform is a little different. The way we create content for Instagram is a little different than the way we create content for LinkedIn.

If you are just getting started in your business, don’t have a team to help you with content, or are feeling overwhelmed with social content, this is for you.

I want you to pick 1-2 platforms to devote your time to and only create content for those platforms right now.

“But Regina, how do I decide where to put my energy?”

>> The main question you need to ask yourself to determine this answer is where does your target audience hang out?

>>>>>>>Where do they consumer content regularly?

>>The next question you need to ask yourself is, “What platform are you the most comfortable with and enjoy creating content for?”

>>>>>>>You are a factor in this.

>>>>>>>Your energy, your presence - is something that is palpable. So if your target audience hangs out on two different platforms and there is one you enjoy more than the other, focus on the one that you enjoy.

The most important thing is that you are showing up consistently, creating connection, and providing massive value for your people?

I was having dinner the other night and a guy named Tony at the table told me he had a great idea (and not to steal it).

I was like okay T. Let me hear it.

He said, “What if there was a dating website for cats... you know so my cat and your cat could get together and date.”

The first question out of my mouth was “Tony... do you think there is a market demand for that? Do you think that’s actually a profitable niche?”

I didn’t do any market research but my gut reaction is no (but you never know because us cat people can be kind of nuts)

Whatever our crazy, beautiful idea is... that idea needs to be able to turn a profit in business.

Think about the questions above and run your business idea through them.
