I whipped up this cake minutes before celebrating. Chocolate layers using black cocoa for that ultimate Oreo flavor, Oreo buttercream filling, and vanilla buttercream for that smooth coat and decorating.

Entering a new decade. Putting “youth” to rest, but in its place welcoming maturity, wisdom, and probably more vitamins, sleep, and expensive face creams. We’re only as old as we feel.

We had black cocoa cake (which has major Oreo flavor), Oreo buttercream filling and crumb coat, and vanilla buttercream for smooth coat and design.

We had cherries, bows, and edible glitter!

Just an elegant wedding cake before it’s adorned with flowers. And a picture of my hubby and me at another wedding celebrating love.💕

First tier was red velvet with cream cheese buttercream. I also crumb coated the first tier in white chocolate ganache so it would be sturdier. Cream cheese frosting just gets softer more quickly and we didn’t want the cake to start bulging. The top tier was chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream.
