Your legacy isn’t built in the hype.
It’s not built in the perfect macros, the new workout plan, or the latest supplement trend.
Your legacy is built on boring habits:
✅ Eating the same 5–10 meals
✅ Training consistently
✅ Hitting your steps
✅ Sleeping like it matters
✅ Repeating this even when no one’s watching
Boring habits are what separate those who talk about it from those who become it.
So yeah… if it feels boring, that’s a damn good sign you’re doing it right.
Because real results don’t come from motivation… they come from mastery.

I wrote this post as a reminder to myself. Running sucks, but it’s good for you and will accelerate your gains in the gym, when done right.

Shoutout for the photo!

Struggling to lose fat even though you’re eating less?
It’s not your willpower. It’s your metabolism adapting.
This post breaks down why fat loss gets harder over time — and how to fix it before your body fights back.
Save this if you’ve ever hit a plateau. DM me “ADAPT” if you’re done guessing and ready to get results that last.

For all my morning lifters out there… make sure to get some protein and carbs in before training. It will help you get better results!

If you’re rushing your workouts just to feel wrecked…
You’re missing the point.
Slow reps = more tension.
Rest = growth.
Focus = intensity.
Slow down to speed up.
That’s how you build real muscle.

My 10-Year Transformation
The photo on the left is the worst photo ever taken of me. You can see the pain on my face — the pain of realizing I had let myself go.
⠀
June 28th, 2015 — the day everything changed.
225 lbs. 30% body fat.
A version of me most of you have never met.
⠀
The photo on the right? That’s today — June 30th, 2025.
190 lbs. 12% body fat.
⠀
June 2015 – June 2025
Let’s talk about the dash between those two dates — the part you don’t see.
⠀
You don’t see the phases of weight gain and weight loss.
You don’t see the all-in or all-out mindset that held me back for years.
You don’t see the moments I hated what I saw in the mirror.
You don’t see the struggle that I had with understanding nutrition and the role that played in my results.
⠀
You don’t see the lessons learned, the knowledge earned, the mental battles fought and won.
⠀
But here’s what you do see:
A man who committed to the process.
Who rebuilt his relationship with food from the ground up.
Who found a training style that fits his life — not the other way around.
Who gets results without living in the gym.
⠀
There’s a lot I wish I could change about those 10 years… but I can’t. And honestly? I’m not supposed to.
Those lessons shaped me.
Those struggles built me.
That is what has made me into the coach that I am today.
⠀
35 years old — and feeling better than I ever thought possible.
⠀
It’s because I never gave up. And you shouldn’t either.
⠀
You are in control of your legacy.
So let me ask you…
What are you doing to ?

There’s a right way to use science — and a wrong one.
The wrong way? Letting it paralyze you. Only doing what’s “scientifically optimal” instead of listening to what your body responds to.
Real progress comes when you blend both:
📈 What the research says
⚡ What YOUR body responds to
That’s the sweet spot. That’s where real results live.

Stop waiting for life to “calm down.”
The truth?
There’s never a perfect time.
There’s only right now—and what you choose to do with it.
A good coach doesn’t add stress…
They remove it.
They simplify the plan.
They build around your real life.
Whether you’re slammed at work, juggling family, or just trying to get your head on straight…
You don’t need more pressure.
You need a system that works with your life—not against it.
That’s exactly what I’m bringing back with the relaunch of EffingFit.
If you’re ready to stop waiting and start building,
📩 DM me “EFFINGFIT” and I’ll send you the details.

Well, I can now cross a Spartan Race off the list
-
This has been something I have wanted to do for a while but I never actually committed to it… until this year
-
I knew that I could do it physically, but I was psyching myself out mentally about it
-
That is because it was unlike any challenge I had done before
-
But once I started, I realized that my background in strength training transitioned over well and all the cardio I did prepping for the half marathon helped as well
-
I got in a focused mode and just pushed through everything, even when my hands were hurting like s**t from all the grip strength needed.
-
I also conquered my fear of heights with some of the obstacles too.
-
I did it and am happy I did it.
-
Now it is on to the next goal, not sure what that will be yet, but we will plan something big for 2025
