One wellness shift we are VERY here for: more conversations with women about getting stronger, not smaller.
Strength training, muscle health, bone health, protein, recovery and longevity have moved to the front of the women’s wellness conversation, especially for women in their 40s, 50s and beyond. Recent research continues to show that resistance training can improve muscle volume and strength in postmenopausal women.
And we love seeing it.
For too long, fitness marketing to women focused heavily on what our bodies should look like.
More of the conversation now is about what our bodies can do and how we can keep doing the things we love for a very long time.
That feels like progress.
More on Women's Health.

From 16 surfers to the world’s largest women’s professional surfing contest. That’s growth worth celebrating.
The Super Girl Surf Festival is celebrating 20 years, growing from 16 young surfers and 200 spectators into the world’s largest women’s professional surfing contest.
That kind of growth doesn’t happen overnight. It comes from visibility, investment, community and brands willing to show up.
We love seeing women’s sports continue to take up the space they deserve, especially when it’s happening right here in Southern California. 🏄♀️
Who else is excited for Super Girl Surf Festival in Oceanside?

Women’s sports isn’t just getting more attention. It’s building an entirely new media ecosystem.
This week, Brittany Mahomes, co-owner of the Kansas City Current, helped unveil KC Current Studios, a new space created for original content, live broadcasts, podcasts, interviews and, importantly, telling more of the stories behind the athletes.
Brittany was joined by her children Sterling and Bronze for the opening, who may have stolen the show with their “KC Baby!” mic moment.
We love this.
Because great sports marketing has never been only about what happens during the game. It’s the personalities, preparation, challenges, communities and stories that turn casual viewers into real fans.
And as audiences for women’s sports continue to grow, so does the opportunity for brands to be part of those stories in meaningful, authentic ways.
At SMACK! Media, we’ve always believed storytelling is what creates connection. Women’s sports is showing just how powerful that connection can become.
Great coverage from People Magazine on what the Kansas City Current is building.

Memorial Day is almost here, and honestly, this recipe is exactly the kind of thing we want on the table ☀️
Fresh berries, pesto, mozzarella, arugula, and pasta tossed together into a side dish that feels light, flavorful, and easy for a crowd.
At SMACK! Media, we love seeing creators like Danae Halliday of make entertaining feel simple and approachable without overcomplicating it.

Women’s sports are no longer “emerging.” They’re becoming one of the most valuable growth opportunities in sports, media, and brand marketing.
A new Deloitte report projects the women’s sports market will surpass $3 billion in global revenue in 2026, fueled by rising investment, broadcast rights, sponsorships, and fan engagement.
At SMACK! Media, this is exactly the kind of momentum we pay attention to. The brands winning today are the ones showing up early, building authentic partnerships, and understanding the cultural power behind women’s sports communities.
From athlete storytelling to wellness, performance, lifestyle, and brand alignment, women’s sports are creating entirely new opportunities for connection and long-term brand growth.
The audience is here.
The investment is growing.
And the future of sports marketing is evolving fast.

Bone health may not be the most visible fitness goal—but it’s one of the most important.
For women especially, factors like pregnancy and menopause can significantly impact bone density over time. And yet, it’s often overlooked in favor of more immediate outcomes.
What’s encouraging is how actionable the solution is.
Strength training and weight-bearing movement don’t just build muscle—they signal the body to rebuild and strengthen bone through remodeling.
It’s a reminder that performance isn’t just about today.
It’s about longevity.
At SMACK! Media, we’re always drawn to where science and behavior meet. Because the most powerful shifts aren’t trends—they’re sustainable practices that change how we live, train, and lead.
