As you head to the polls, I humbly ask for your vote for the Scotia-Glenville School Board.

Our children are not just our future — they are our present. As a current member of the School Board, I have made every decision with our children's best interests in mind, and I will continue to do so. Together, we must ensure that our students have the resources they need to thrive, while supporting the teachers and staff who help them succeed every day.

Since joining the board, I have used my voice to champion initiatives that make a real difference. I launched the Food For Thought Snack Program because it’s hard to learn to read on an empty stomach. I supported the district’s move to provide free school meals for all students — helping working families, including those who may not qualify for traditional assistance. I have fought to preserve programs that introduce students to careers in the trades and will continue to advocate for the trades as a strong and valuable pathway to graduation. I’ve voted against budgets that would have reduced our ability to teach and harmed student learning.

I will continue to bring the voice and values of our community to the table. I will advocate for expanded distance learning to offer students more course options — including American Sign Language as a language choice. I’ll push for stronger partnerships with workforce development programs to prepare our students for life after graduation. I’ll support rethinking how we use our school buildings to better serve our special education students and keep more of them in-district. I will work to make Universal Pre-K a reality in Scotia-Glenville.

Our children deserve a thoughtful, consistent advocate who will always put them first — someone who will ask tough questions, push for change, and carefully weigh the impact of each decision. We need a board member who respects both educational excellence and fiscal responsibility, and who is committed to lifelong learning and bringing fresh ideas from successful districts across New York State.

With your support, I pledge to do my very best — for our children, our community, and our future.

Trades & Career-Ready Pathways

College isn’t the only path to success. I support strengthening trade and vocational options to boost graduation rates and prepare students for meaningful careers right after high school. This was a Board Goal I advocated for this year. I will continue to support and look for innovative ways to boost our graduation rates.

Tonight at our Board of Education meeting I was presented with an award from NYSSBA along with a certificate to choose a class to take of my liking. I was totally surprised and grateful for the recognition. I thrive on the ability to connect with other districts, grow in my role as a board member and bring back new ideas to the team.
