Sadly, EAA National has decided due to weather concerns and lack of pre-bookings today that they are canceling today’s event. If you are scheduled today or were planning to come back out please change course and enjoy your Sunday.

EAA has partnered with Boldmethod for scenario development
supporting IMC/VMC Club monthly topics. I thought we’d give it a try
and provide feedback to EAA coordinator. Two things to share in the
invite - a quiz (on sectional chart symbology) and the Boldmethod link
(which has the scenario and a quiz). With that, I offer the following
for the monthly meeting reminder:

“VFR cross-country weather considerations. Planning and ex*****on
decision-making"

The next EAA 1514 VMC/IMC meeting will be an online Zoom session
Thursday, 14 May at 8pm EDT, discussing weather decision-making. In
this scenario, we are planning a cross-country and the weather is less
than stunning. What sources of information might we leverage to make
the go/no-go decision, and once airborne, to make prudent adjustments
if necessary?

Some aerodynamic phenomena in the books are over-simplified, some are unknown, and some are plain wrong. All these phenomena were discovered in an RV-9A.

April 7 Chapter Meeting and Program

The Monthly Meeting will go virtual, on the Zoom platform. The program is still TBD, but we will have a presentation via a shared computer screen, and the ability to ask questions, and engage your fellow Chapter members, and their guests in discussion.

This meeting will be moderated, in that any 'crashers' will be removed from the meeting if they display inappropriate behavior.

The Christmas party at the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum was a huge hit in my book and the book of many others. It was an evening filled with great food, amazing ambiance of aviation history, a few bad jokes, and most importantly the fellowship of aviation enthusiasts from all walks of life!! I think it’s safe to say that we may have a started a tradition!!

Thank you to all that showed up tonight to celebrate and if you have some pictures from the event...post them here. I would love to see what you all were enjoying about the event. I was clearly too wrapped up in telling bad jokes to snap some pics...oh well there is always next year!!
