Francisco José Betancourt is a New York City–based photographer whose work is shaped by a decade in visual design.

A SCAD graduate (BFA, motion media design, 2018), he worked as a designer at Imaginary Forces, Vivaldi, and Trollback+Company before shifting into photography full-time, bringing a designer’s eye for composition and narrative into every frame.

For the past two and a half years, he has served as studio manager for fashion photographers Luigi & Iango, creating work for brands including Maybelline, Dolce & Gabbana, Vogue, and CR Fashion Book. Outside of work, he channels that same creative instinct into interior design and NYC’s theater scene🏙️🍎📸

Meet Emily Bologna (B.F.A., fashion marketing & management), who spent her summer as a social media intern at EXPRESS in Columbus, Ohio!🤭⭐️

This summer, Emily worked on social content for monthly collections, supported the EXPRESS marketing team, and was even featured in lo-fi content! She also developed a Spring 2027 marketing strategy as her 10-week intern project, which she presented to the EXPRESS CEO 👏🤝

Meet Emma Scalzo (B.F.A., advertising and branding), who spent her summer interning at L’Oréal with Urban Decay Cosmetics on the Global Innovation Marketing team in El Segundo, CA! 🫶🫶

This summer, Emma helped the Innovation Eye Makeup team develop concepts and campaigns, worked with the UD Product Development team to swatch and photograph new formulas, and conceptualized a comprehensive 360° marketing campaign for an upcoming blockbuster launch as her final project💄

We’re so proud to see Emma take her advertising and branding experience at SCAD into the global beauty industry! 🐝

Meet Jonas Smith (B.F.A., graphic design)⌨️

This summer, Jonas interned at La Mer, part of The Estée Lauder Companies, as a Creative Design Intern. He supported the creative development and design of upcoming holiday campaigns across global markets, working on projects spanning advertising, marketing, and product design🌆

His internship gave him hands-on experience throughout the creative process, from early concepts to finalized campaign assets, while working within a globally recognized beauty brand known for its level of excellence👏

We’re proud to see Jonas take his SCAD design experience into the global beauty industry!🤭🤭

Meet Avery Sabile (B.F.A., user experience design, 2026) ⛳️

At SCAD, Avery combined her passion for design with her love of golf while competing on the Women’s Golf Team. That unique intersection led her to an Operations Internship with PGA TOUR Superstore.

After graduating, Avery transitioned into merchandising, joining PGA TOUR Superstore full-time as an Assistant Merchant. Today, she continues to bring her creative and problem-solving skills to a new side of the golf industry🤍

Meet Ella Guilbeau (B.F.A., accessory design)👛👠

This summer, Ella joined Cult Gaia as an Accessory Design Intern in Los Angeles, working alongside the accessory design team across handbags and jewelry.

From developing tech packs and spec sheets to creating full-scale CADs, color matching, and researching collections, Ella gained hands-on experience across the design process. She even helped with the reopening of Cult Gaia’s Pacific Palisades store🤍🤍🤍

Her summer experience strengthened her technical and creative skills while giving her the opportunity to bring her SCAD education into a fast-paced professional environment👏

Spend a day in the life with SCAD alumni Chaney Tipton (B.F.A., acting, 2026)💋

After graduating this spring, Chaney moved to Austin, TX, where she quickly turned her dreams into reality✨ She signed with an acting agency for film, TV, voiceover, commercial, and print work while beginning a full-time creative social media role at a tech UGC agency📱

Through experiences with people like SCAD professors, the SCAD Casting Office, and CAS😉, Chaney gained the tools to pursue her creative goals and build a career she loves🤭

Meet Disha Agrawal (M.F.A., motion media design, 2026) a current Motion Design Intern at Sarofsky in Chicago 🏙️

For Disha, earning a master’s degree at SCAD was about more than building technical skills. It was about finding a creative community, connecting with inspiring designers and studios, and creating opportunities through genuine relationships🤝

At SCAD CoMotion, the world’s largest student-run motion design festival, Disha connected with the Sarofsky team during her first year and reconnected the following year. By continuing to share her work, stay curious, and nurture those connections, she eventually landed an internship with the studio.

Her experience is a reminder that sometimes the opportunities we’re looking for start with simply showing up, making connections, and staying engaged 👏👏
