@2330 Hrs, EST I should be sleeping. Looking into this device & this app only adds to my not sleeping, yet I wanted the word to know. Now you know. Reading something earlier today struck me profoundly- {The thing between a goal & accomplishing that objective is the work; to truly stay focused on that work requires discipline. That’s the magic, discipline}
Also Psalms 27:14. Wait upon the Lord, be of good courage…
What’s the goal for us of faith (we’re saved), so salvation is ours {Praise God}, then ours is to walk in HIS righteousness; Goal One for those in the faith, to do so requires that discipline, the work. Remember “faith without works is dead”, my question is simple are we working at being righteous? Being Holy? Being Gracious? Being kind? Being loving? Being Generous? Being good? Being honest? Being truthful? (a half truth is still a lie), being honorable? Being of good cheer?
One last question, what are you being today?
If nothing else be praying for me, I have a lot of being to do, in Jesus name, Amen 🙏
Be civic minded
In 2022, across the Republic States re-draw their various jurisdictions such as state house/senate lines, and of course the US Congress.
Remember there are 435 seats in the US House of Representatives and 100 US Senators, two from each state.
Once the biennial election is tallied, via a “2” party process one party becomes the majority provided, their party has achieved a simple majority of seats in the House &/or Senate. That party then sets the agenda and selects the Chair persons of the committees, that conduct the business of the people.
Congress is a bicameral body, that stands as one of the three “legs” of Governance to shepherd our citizens and the Republic.
Your vote is the required force to rejuvenate our Government every two years.
117Th Congress expires in January of odd years, having been elected in the even years in November and seated in January.
Legislation passed here by Congress will then be sent to POTUS for approval (signed in to law) or a veto, that dismissed the “Bill”. A veto can be overridden by a 2/3 vote of Congress
Happy 2017 all!
