On this of 2021, would like to share an 📸 from our recent travels to Savannah, GA. We visited “The African-American Monument” which is the first major monument in Savannah to commemorate the contributions of its Black citizens to the city’s history, economy and culture, and to acknowledge its role in the institution of slavery.
It represents an important step forward in the inclusion of slavery and the Black experience in Savannah’s public monuments, and a reminder of the many contributions made by the enslaved people by whom much of Savannah, literally and figuratively, was built.

fully encourages THIS!• Does your child have their passport? If not, save & share this post.
It’s Asher’s birthday! We decided this year would be the last year that we have a party for him and we will celebrate his birthday by traveling, especially since he has a Spring Break birthday. Today we took him to apply for his passport.
✈️ We scheduled our appointment at the United States Postal Office. You can go online to USPS.com & enter your zip code to find the select postal service in your area that completes Passport applications.
✈️ Fill out & complete the DS-11 form. The form can be filled out online or in person. You can go to Travel.State.Gov to receive the DS-11 form or arrive at your passport appointment 30 minutes earlier and complete the form there.
✈️ Bring proof of citizen for your child (birth certificate). In addition, the parents or legal guardian will need to bring their identificationtion as well (valid passport or drivers license). The birth certificate will be submitted with your passport application so if you will need an extra copy you may want to plan ahead.
✈️ Due to your child being a minor (under age 15) both parents have to give consent in order to complete the passport application. We can vouch that it’s easier to have both parents present at time of the appointment. However, if one of the parents cannot be present you will need a notarized statement of consent.
✈️ Due to various reasons, there are different circumstances on why one parent could not be physically present. Therefore, there are a few work arounds such as:
1. If one parents is incarcerated or any type of court order documents that doesn’t allow one parent to be around another /child, you will need to bring this additional paperwork.
2. If you are a single parent that has sole custody of the child the other parent does not need to be present.
3. If only one parent is listed on the birth certificate then that is the only parent that needs to be present.
4. If one parent is deceased, you will need to bring in the death certificate.
✈️ Children under 15 have to apply for a new passport every 5 years.

A challenged world is an alert world. Individually, we're all responsible for our own thoughts and actions - all day, every day. We can all choose to challenge and call out gender bias and inequality. We can all choose to seek out and celebrate women's achievements. Collectively, we can all help create an inclusive world.
From challenge comes change, so let's all
