Welcome to the Sauk Village Education Association's (SVEA) page!

This is the teacher's union for Community Consolidated Schools District 168 and includes classroom teachers, special education teachers, specials teachers, reading specialists, interventionists, counselors, social workers, and case coordinators.

We are united in our pursuit of a fair contract. These are our concerns:

1. We need competitive salaries and benefits to attract and retain high-quality teachers and staff so we can continue to provide an excellent education to our students.
2. Our students deserve certified teachers, not long-term subs.
3. Our teachers should not have to work 2 jobs to support their families.
4. Our administrators receive free health insurance, while teachers' insurance rates continue to increase.
