M&M Patterns Ⓜ️!
This week we learned all about the letter Mm! We worked on patterns using M&Ms and tried to figure out which color would come next. We also worked on letter formation as we rolled and shaped play dough into letters on our play dough mats. After they formed the letter, they said the sound of the letter, along with the word that corresponded. This helps develop their fine motor skills, makes them more familiar with letter shapes, and reinforces the letter/sound relationship. We had a fun time! They especially liked eating a few M&Ms at the end of the day 😉

Christmas Party 2024🎄These kiddos loved decorating a Christmas cookie, handing out presents to their friends, and making an ornament for parents!
We also did lots of fun activities in our centers during the month of December. We put Christmas light numbers in order - they loved lining up the whole string of them together! I love this time of year and the excitement they show every time they come to preschool! 🎅🏻

I forgot to post about our igloo day! We learned about the letter I, and got to build our own igloos with sugar cubes and penguins 🐧🧊 They loved this hands on activity- and it helps develop those fine motor skills as they carefully stack the cubes. We also glued “ice blocks” on our paper igloos and added snowflakes with some paint. Such a fun theme since we are heading into winter! ❄️

Our Halloween Party was a hit! We took turns telling about our costumes, frosted bat cookies, sang Witches Brew & our Halloween Cat song, and played Halloween bingo today. Such a fun day and their costumes were so adorable!

We did some fun Halloween activities today! 🎃
We started off with Witches Brew counting, where they made their own witches brew as they counted out spiders, pumpkins, bats, bones, and eyeballs! At their next center they practiced making the letters in their name in our squishy eyeball sensory bags. They had fun trying to find the eyeballs in the bags while they made their letters! We also read Bears in the Night during snack time, and started learning our Halloween Cat song. We are loving October so far!! 👻

Z is for Zoo!! 🦁 We are at the end of the alphabet! Today they got to choose an animal and make a zoo cage with play dough and sticks. They loved that they could take their animal home to keep! We practiced writing our letter Zz, and talked about lots of words that start with Z! One more day learning about Z before we start our review next week. I can’t believe how close we are to the end of the year- it has gone so fast! These kiddos have learned so much and I will miss them! 💕

Vet Day! We had such a fun day learning about how veterinarians take care of animals. They each brought their own animal to practice on today! They had to weigh their animal, take x-rays, give medicine, and bandage them up. These animals were looking great by the end of the day! 😉🐶🐱

P is for Penguins! We had lots of fun learning all about penguins today. 🐧 We read about penguins and where they live, practiced writing the letter Pp, made penguins with cotton ball bellies, and explored our snow sensory bins. The bins had penguins, rocks, and tools to use in pretend snow! They created hills and snow banks for the penguins to stand on, scooped the snow into cups to make shapes, and made structures for penguin houses. When it was time to switch centers, everyone begged for more time with the snow!
That’s definitely a sign that they were engaged and loving their time at preschool today! ❤️

These kiddos have been waiting ALL MONTH for our Pancakes & Pajamas Party!! 🥞 Hooray that this day finally came ! We talked all about the letter Pp, read “If You Give A Pig A Pancake”, and ate all the pancakes until our little bellies were full. One of their favorite parts was the homemade whipped cream on top! I think this day was one for the books ! 🤗
