We are giving away one spot in our mommy and me music class! The class is eight weeks long and you have a choice of coming Tuesday @ 9 AM, Wednesday @ 9 AM or 10 AM. Classes start January 8th and go until February 28th.

Teacher introduction: Rose Anne!

I began studying the piano at age five, and continued for several years. This experience led me to my true musical love: voice. I’ve been singing perhaps longer than I’ve been talking! I studied with an accomplished private vocal coach for seven years. Additionally I sang with each of the elite choirs in my high school, and participated in honor choirs throughout junior high and high school. Through these experiences, I discovered that I have perfect pitch.

Most recently, I have been teaching beginner piano lessons to young children in our private studio. I have experience teaching in a preschool, and enjoy children. I look forward to working with you and your child in our Meadow Music Program!

Teacher introduction: Amy!

My upbringing and introduction to music closely mirrors that of my mother's, as I began studying piano at the age of six. My siblings and I were surrounded with music and instruments of all kinds throughout our childhood. I began learning violin at the age of nine and continued to expand my knowledge of music. I was introduced to guitar at age thirteen, and have consistently studied it since. I played violin in a youth orchestra at Weber State University for two years in addition to participating in various music camps over the years.

In 2020 I received my associate degree at Utah State University in General Studies. I have cared for and taught children for much of my life and continue to do so as I mother my own son. At age 15, I co-taught a youth community orchestra of elementary aged children. I currently work in a private studio as a guitar teacher for children and teenagers.

I am so happy to be part of a music program for young children in the South Saratoga Springs area!

Teacher introduction: Melanie!

I began my musical studies at the age of five with my mother who received her Bachelor of Arts in piano studies and music theory from the BYU school of music. Some of my earliest and fondest memories are of mom at the piano with dad singing while my siblings and I danced, ran, and generally went crazy to the music. I hope to create a similar experience for the young students who join our Meadow Music classes.

I have maintained a private studio with as many as 50 students over the past 30 years. I earned a Bachelor of Science in elementary education from Utah State University, and hold a music endorsement from Weber State University. I taught junior high choir, orchestra, and guitar at an inner city school in Ogden Utah for six years, and taught first grade in Highland, Utah (2016-2018). I currently run a music studio with my two daughters where we privately tutor 50+ students on guitar, piano, and violin.

I’m excited to combine my background in education with the music that has filled my life, and to use these skills to create a positive musical experience for emergent learners. I’m thrilled to work with my daughters in this new endeavor.
