🌱Nature is a GREAT teacher!🌱
Our students each planted a bucket garden from Green Jean Foundation with plants donated from EarthBox. One has milkweed in it and we discovered a baby caterpillar on a leaf. We brought it into our classroom and read to it, sang to it, ate lunch with it and most importantly, loved 🧡it. Our baby grew and grew and grew. It spun a chrysalis and after two and a half weeks, a beautiful monarch butterfly emerged. We released it and loved learning from nature.
Note: Milkweed is the only plant monarch caterpillars eat and it is essential for the life cycle of this important pollinator.

🌎Our students took a field trip to Jigg's Landing to celebrate Earth Day and to get up close to some of Florida’s wildlife. We saw 🐢turtles, 🐊 gators, a manatee, fish and hundreds of 🦆birds. We got to go fishing 🎣🐟 and had lunch. 🌎
🌎Happy Earth Day 🌎
Here at EVO Academy we learn inside and outside. Nature is a great classroom. Watch us grow.
