WOMB Doula Certification

We can’t be convinced that birth work isn’t legacy work. As birth happens through women, life as we know it changes. As a baby is born, both mother and father are born as well.

What would it look like if no matter the outcome, the entire family unit walked into the postpartum period feeling empowered, at ease, held, loved, seen, and prepared?

Alisha and Allie are no strangers to birth; through them, they have birthed 13 children and both have experienced tremendous joy as they brought babies home and tremendous sorrow as they said both hello and goodbye to babies they held within their wombs but never within their arms. They have both experienced the duress that comes with postpartum depression and anxiety and with faith, came out of those seasons with hearts to love mothers so they would never be alone. They have attended, supported, and held hundreds of mothers as doulas in the home, birth center, and hospital birth settings. Fulfilling doesn’t hold a candle to how this work lights them up.

And even so...something is missing. We both knew we had to create something with PURPOSE. Our purpose is to equip and inspire doulas with comprehensive, heart-centered education that honors informed choice, individual heritage, and the sacred journey of birth - creating lasting impact for families and communities.

Where are all the doulas?

Why doesn’t every woman know what a doula is and why don’t they know that they can have a doula by their side through it all? A literal birth bestie. Our vision is to cultivate a global community of birth workers who lead with compassion, advocate with integrity, and elevate the birthing experience with empowered, ethical care.

Women need access to highly qualified, flexible yet strong, doula support to help them both navigate the world of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum and to ensure that mothers have informed consent, evidence based care, and feel empowered with every decision made. A mother will never forget how she was made to feel during birth; she carries it with her to postpartum, no matter if she felt encouraged or discouraged - it follows her. According to the National Institute of Health, 45% of new mothers experience birth trauma. Almost half of our new mothers who are holding our next generation begin their mothering journey riding the coattails of trauma. This has to change.

Which is why we created WOMB, Wildflower and Oak, Mother and Baby; a doula certification like no other.

Our mission is simple: To empower birth workers with education and excellence to compassionately serve our communities for the greater good of mothers and their families.
