We are hosting a free Prodigies trial class on Tuesday September 8th and we would love to see your child there.

Prodigies is our brand new group music experience for children in Grades K through 3rd. Color, movement, singing, rhythm, and real instruments coming together to make music feel like play. No flashcards. No sitting still. Just joyful hands-on music making that builds real skills in rhythm, pitch, melody, and creativity.

Come try it for free. See what your child thinks. We have a feeling they are going to love it.

Classes officially begin September 15th.

Homeschool parents, this one is for you.

We are hosting Coffee & Conversation: Homeschool Edition this Friday September 11th from 10:30AM to Noon right here at Music Compound.

No formal agenda. No presentation. Just good coffee, meaningful conversations, and a welcoming space designed around you. Our team will be on site to connect with families and answer questions about programs, schedules, and everything Music Compound has to offer.

And while the parents connect, the kids get to make music. We are offering children's music classes at 11AM and 11:30AM including a drum circle and vocal class.

No RSVP required. Just show up.

Play. Learn. Bond. Every week. Free. 🎵

Music in Motion is a free weekly drop-in class for parents, caregivers, and their children from infants through age 5, hosted right here at Music Compound in partnership with Parenting Matters.

Every session is filled with music, movement, and creative activities designed to build social skills, language skills, motor skills, and early brain development. But honestly? It is also just a really wonderful hour for you and your little one to be present together.

Parents love it too. It is a chance to connect with other caregivers, play alongside your child, and access Parenting Educators who can answer real questions about your child's development.

Drop in whenever it works for your schedule. Classes are offered in both English and Spanish. Families who attend 10 classes receive a free activity bag to take home.

Musical Motion is a drop-in program and participants are welcome to join as many classes that suit your schedule. There is a one-time $10 enrollment fee.

We are so excited to introduce our newest program at Music Compound and it is unlike anything we have offered before.

Prodigies is a hands-on group music experience for children in Grades K through 3rd that uses color, movement, singing, rhythm, and instruments to make music approachable, exciting, and genuinely fun for young learners.

No flashcards. No sitting still. Just joyful, interactive music making that builds real skills in rhythm, pitch, melody, creativity, and music reading in a way that feels like play.

And here is the part that might surprise you.

12 weeks for just $219. That is $18 per class.

New Horizons is a group music program designed specifically for adults who have always wanted to play, are returning after years away, or are simply ready to try something new.

No prior experience needed. No pressure. Just the joy of learning and performing alongside others who share the same love of music.

Well, it’s always an adventure at Music Compound | Music Lessons… especially on Mondays! 😂

After two weeks of shadowing and spending time in the KR classroom, Mrs. Jenny decided it was time for the posters to come down and photos of our past rockers to go up! 🎸 along with other upgrades way over due.

With her sidekicks Jerz, Kira & Mariana in full agreement, they attempted to turn her vision into reality. 🤦‍♀️🤣

As you can see… the TikTok trick was a complete FAIL. 😂 The photos are hung. Are they straight? Absolutely not.

But after a very long Monday, the shenanigans gave us exactly what we needed ->a good laugh, a few jokes, and a reminder that sometimes you just have to have fun with your people.

And yes… some of the jokes were definitely NOT IG-rated. 🤣

This is what it looks like when a teen finds their thing. 🎸

They stop going through the motions and start showing up differently. Practice does not feel like a chore anymore. They talk about their band. They look forward to rehearsal. And when they walk out on stage something shifts that does not go away.

That is what Music Compound does for teenagers.

Our band members perform live every single month at real venues in front of real audiences. They build confidence, find their people, and discover who they are becoming through music.

Last night, our Music Compound teachers gathered for our annual awards night to celebrate those who went above and beyond for their students and supported their fellow teachers.

Great music teachers do more than teach notes. They build confidence, make practice exciting, and help students discover what they’re capable of.

These award-winning instructors work with students every week at Music Compound in Sarasota. They teach kids and adults, beginners and experienced musicians, through private lessons and group programs.

Metallica’s most intimidating riff is played on just two strings. 🤘

“Master of Puppets” has built this reputation as one of those songs guitarists hear and immediately assume is out of reach.

But the riff that makes it sound so intimidating lives entirely on the E and A strings.

Two strings. A handful of notes. The real challenge is getting that relentless downpicking tight enough to sound like Metallica.

Once you see it broken down, the riff suddenly feels a lot more playable.
