Week 6 and 7 are all about radiology and X-rays! 🩻 🦷 🤩💫

In lecture, we explored the science behind radiographic imaging; from how X-rays are produced, to understanding radiation safety protocols, exposure factors, sensor placement, and the key anatomical landmarks we look for on diagnostic films. We also covered how to interpret X-rays and learning how to see what dental work a patient has. 🤓

After learning theory, we applied everything in lab, where we practiced taking bitewings, PAs and panoramic images. This included mastering patient positioning, angulation, using the correct holders, and patient/staff safety!

Today, our students built the confidence and skills to step up when every second counts🚨

They learned how to recognize emergencies, take action, and perform CPR effectively, and are now officially certified. ✅

As future dental assistants, these skills matter. They’ll be in clinical settings every day where quick thinking and calm responses can protect patients’ lives. Knowing how to respond in those critical moments isn’t just a requirement, it’s part of being a trusted healthcare professional. 🩺

We’re thrilled to introduce Cindy, our amazing Director of First Impressions here at 941 Dental Studio! 🦷✨

Originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, Cindy has called Florida home for the past two years — and we couldn’t be happier to have her sunshine energy in the office. ☀️

When she’s not greeting patients with her signature smile, you’ll find her soaking up the sun at the beach, getting lost in a good mystery novel, or staying active with her two dogs and her husband — whether it’s riding bikes or exploring new restaurants around town. 🚴‍♀️🐾🍽️

Cindy is truly a beacon of light for our team and our patients — from the very first phone call to the warm welcome at the front desk. 💛
