You don’t need to be a tech expert to start using AI automation in your business.

Three quick wins you can set up this week:

Automate your lead follow-ups so no inquiry sits in your inbox overnight. Use AI to draft your blog outlines and social captions — then edit with your expertise. And build a content workflow where one blog post automatically feeds your social media, email, and GBP.

90% of small businesses are already exploring automation. The tools are easier and more affordable than you think.

What’s the one task in your business you wish would just handle itself?

Quick question: how many different people or companies are handling your website, SEO, social media, and Google Business Profile?

If the answer is more than one — and they’re not coordinating — you’re probably leaving results on the table.

Digital marketing works best when everything connects. Your social media should drive traffic to a website that’s built to convert. Your SEO should be informed by what your customers actually search for. Your GBP should match what your website says.

When the pieces work together, the results compound. When they don’t, you’re paying for effort that cancels itself out.

Google just released a major algorithm update on March 27th — and it’s changing how businesses get found online.

The short version: Google is rewarding content that genuinely answers questions, not pages stuffed with keywords. And with AI now generating answers in over 25% of searches, your website needs to be structured so both Google AND AI can understand it.

This is exactly why your website, SEO, and content strategy can’t operate in silos. They need to work together as one system.

Not sure if your site is ready for this shift? Start by asking: does my content answer real questions my customers are asking — or is it just filling space?

Google isn’t just ranking law firms anymore — it’s choosing who gets cited in AI answers.

If your firm isn’t referenced, you’re skipped.

This is what AI visibility actually looks like.

✨ Clicks Are Down. AI Answers Are Up. Are You Ready for GEO?

Showing up first on Google isn’t enough anymore.
Today, nearly 1 in 3 searches trigger an AI Overview — giving people the answer without ever clicking a website.

That means:
❌ Even if you’re #1 in search, fewer people are visiting your site.
❌ Your competitors might get quoted by AI, while you get left out.
✅ The businesses showing up inside AI answers are the ones people see (and trust).

This is where GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) comes in.
Instead of only chasing rankings, you need your content structured so tools like Google’s AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and Gemini pull your business into their answers.

👉 SEO gets you clicks.
👉 GEO makes you the answer — even when nobody clicks.

📌 Learn the 7 steps to optimizing for GEO in our latest post:

If you’ve ever tried to find a downloadable industry list for Clay’s “Find People” searches… you know it doesn’t exist.
Even Clay admitted in their forum: “We don’t currently offer a downloadable list of industries.”

That didn’t work for me. I needed the raw list to:
✅ Run AI analysis
✅ Map industries to other data points
✅ Build campaigns without endless dropdown clicking

So…I pulled the entire Clay industry list, formatted it, and made it copy-paste ready.
👉 Line-by-line and CSV versions.
👉 Use it in AI prompts, spreadsheets, or search templates.
👉 Save time when building prospecting workflows.

Here’s the full list:

Picked up my 15-year-old from his shift at Rita’s today — serving customers, mopping floors, and looking way too grown up.
Then I let him drive for the first time in the park parking lot.

Apparently, teaching driving now involves explaining a reverse camera, beeping sensors, and random light-up icons in the mirrors. Pretty sure my first car only had a steering wheel and a prayer.

Tomorrow’s the first day of school in Sarasota — good luck to all the students… and extra luck to the parents. We’re gonna need it.

Never underestimate the power of seeing your best girls out for dinner on a weeknight 😍

Took a break from the laptop today to celebrate my 7-year-old’s birthday… and let’s just say, I regret encouraging her to get off the iPad.

She’s been grounded from screens (don’t ask), and I told her she could have a special birthday choice:
1. Get her iPad back for the night
2. Or do something fun together

This child—my sweet, smart, usually tech-obsessed child—chose silly string. Not just a little. A full-on backyard attack with bright pink goo aimed directly at my hair, face, and dignity.

Honestly, I’m proud she chose real-life joy over screen time…
But next time I’ll suggest board games. Or coloring. Or literally anything that doesn’t involve being ambushed with Dollar Tree string confetti.

Still—worth it. And yes, she’s still grounded.

18 years married. 23 years together. Still choosing each other—and good food—when we can sneak away without four kids in tow.

We celebrated our anniversary tonight at Kojo in Sarasota (chef’s kiss), and it hit all the right notes: a solid dinner, a quiet table, and an unexpected “Happy Anniversary” card that made us feel a little fancy. Just enough attention that every server wished us well—and just enough quiet to have a full conversation without someone yelling from the other room.

They wrapped up the night with a complimentary glass of champagne, and we wrapped up feeling full in all the right ways. So full, in fact, that our 15-year-old babysitter got to try his first Wagyu steak (you’re welcome, buddy), and the rest of the kids got cold McDonald’s. Balance. 😎

We met working at Carrabba’s back in the day, and we’ve always marked life’s milestones with a good meal. But more than anything, we’re grateful to hit pause, support local, and remind ourselves that we’re still a team—even if our kids were calling us mid-dinner to argue about video games. 🙃

Here’s to 18 years, Wagyu leftovers, and keeping the spark alive one takeout bag at a time.

🚨 Attention aspiring tech ladies who suck at math: THIS ONE’S FOR YOU.

I failed Calculus 3. Three times.
Yes, really.
Yes, I still became a happy and successful programmer.
And no, you don’t have to be a hoodie-wearing math nerd to work in tech.

In fact, if you were the kid writing extra-credit essays in English class—you might be exactly who tech needs.

👉 I just wrote a new blog post called:
"Yes, I’m a Woman In Tech. No, I am Not Good at Math"
It's for every woman who thought, “I love tech... but I'm not cut out for it.” Spoiler: You totally are.

Read it. Share it. Send it to your favorite overthinker who just needs someone to say:
“You don’t have to be a genius. You just have to start.”
