Jennifer Jaso, Ed.D. and Jennifer Nzeza, Ed.S. are educators, trainers, and consultants who specialize in classroom management and school wide discipline.
One of the most unchallenged assumptions in American schools today is that children come to school ready and willing to learn. As educators on the front lines, we know this is not the reality. We can no longer place blame on children's parents or previous teachers for their misbehavior. We must build a structured, mutually respectful classroom environment in which students understand what is expec
ted of them and where school personnel hold them accountable. We offer school and district-wide trainings, as well as Invitational Trainings and Individual Coaching. Participants learn time-tested, researched-based strategies and techniques designed to; decrease teacher and student frustration; improve student focus; systematically teach appropriate, on-task behavior; drastically reduce problem behavior; increase instruction time; make the most of class time through structured teaching and learning; and build positive relationships within the classroom. The teacher, with input from the students, sets the rules and routines of the classroom and implements them day one. Participants also learn how to effectively deal with positive and negative behavior of students. Trainings are mostly presenter-led direct instruction, but opportunities for collaborative group work among participants are built within in order to connect the content to participants' unique environments and allow for practical application. Elements of the Time To Teach program are presented in a fast-paced, yet thorough manner. Let us show you how to reduce time spent on discipline and increase your Time To Teach!
