✨ It’s World Space Week! 🌎🪐
When we think about careers in space, astronauts may be the first thing that comes to mind but the space industry includes SO much more!
Students interested in exploring careers connected to space can start through pathways such as:
🔧 Engineering: Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical & Computer Engineering
💻 Technology: Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Programming & Robotics
🔬 Science: Physics, Astronomy, Chemistry & Environmental Science
📡 Communications: Satellite Technology, Telecommunications & GIS
🩺 Health & Human Performance: Medicine, Biology, Psychology & Exercise Science
🎨 Design & Media: Graphic Design, Digital Media, 3D Modeling & Visualization
📊 Business: Project Management, Finance, Logistics & Operations
There are many ways students can turn their interests into a career that reaches beyond Earth and GEAR UP encourages our students to dream BIG, explore different college and career pathways, and remember that the possibilities are truly out of this world! 🚀

🎓🔧 GEAR UP Students Explore Careers at TSC ITEC! 🚓🩺

Our GEAR UP students had an awesome opportunity to visit the Texas Southmost College ITEC Building and get a closer look at the many career and technical programs available to them!

Students learned about career pathways in 🚓 Law Enforcement, 🔥 Welding, 🔧 Plumbing, 🚛 Diesel Technology, and 🩺 Medical/Healthcare programs.

Experiences like this give our students a chance to explore different careers, learn about the education and training needed, and start thinking about the possibilities waiting for them after high school. 💡🎓

A big thank you to TSC for welcoming our students and showing them that there are so many pathways to a successful future! We also extend our sincere appreciation to ACE and RootEd for their partnership in creating meaningful opportunities for our students to explore careers and plan for their futures.
