Am very excited for this Aqua Yoga Retreat.

Aqua Yoga Women’s Retreat in Beautiful British Columbia!

I’m so excited to announce our upcoming 4-night Aqua Yoga Women’s Retreat, May 27–31, 2027, surrounded by the beauty of nature in British Columbia.

If you’ve been curious about Aqua Yoga but don’t have classes available where you live, this is a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in the practice. Over four days, you’ll have the chance to experience multiple Aqua Yoga classes in a warm indoor pool, deepen your practice, relax in the hot tub, and learn ways to bring Aqua Yoga home with you.

I’m especially excited to be co-leading this retreat with Aqua Yoga pioneer and founder of Aqua Kriya Yoga, Camella Nair. Camella has been an important part of my own Aqua Yoga journey, and I’m thrilled that we’ll be teaching and sharing this experience together.

This retreat includes:

🌲 Spend time surrounded by nature
💦 Practice Aqua Yoga in a warm indoor pool
🧘‍♀️ Slow down, rest and reconnect with yourself
💛 Meet and connect with a community of like-minded women
♨️ Unwind in the hot tub
🥗 Enjoy all meals included throughout the retreat
✨ And, of course, plenty of Aqua Yoga!

Whether Aqua Yoga is already part of your life or you’ve been wishing you could experience it in person, you are welcome.

Come for the Aqua Yoga. Stay for the community, nature, laughter, rest, and time to simply be.

If you live in a bigger body AND experience low back pain, you may have walked into a yoga class and wondered, “Is this really designed for someone like me?”

Aqua Yoga offers something different.
The water supports and surrounds your body, reducing the load on your spine and joints while giving you space to move, stretch, strengthen and breathe.

No need to make your body smaller.

No need to look a certain way in a pose.

No need to be flexible, graceful or “good at yoga.”

💙 Your body belongs in yoga exactly as it is.

So true.

So true.

Think you’re too stiff for yoga? Aqua Yoga might change your mind.

If chronic back tension has left you feeling tight and inflexible, getting down on a yoga mat—and trying to fold yourself into poses—may not sound very appealing.

In Aqua Yoga, the warm water supports your body and gives you more freedom to explore movement at your own pace.

You don’t need to be flexible to start. You just need a body and a willingness to move.

I spend about 25% of my class time saying Breathe!

I spend about 25% of my class time saying Breathe!

Why Breathing Matters for Back Pain
Breathing and back pain are more connected than most people realize.

When we’re stressed or in pain, breathing often becomes shallow and fast.

This tells the nervous system to stay alert.

Slow, diaphragmatic breathing sends the opposite message.

It stimulates the vagus nerve, helping activate your body’s relaxation response.

When you combine slow breathing with warm water and gentle movement, you’re supporting your nervous system from multiple directions at once.

That’s one reason so many people finish an Aqua Yoga class saying,

“My whole body feels different.”

Because it is.
