Today, our multi-age crew teamed up to make something delicious. Cooking together is one of our favorite ways to build community. The older children take pride in "showing the ropes" to the toddlers, while the littlest ones are mesmerized by the changing textures and smells.
​From washing veggies to stirring the bowl, everyone played a part in our feast!

There is no such thing as "bad weather" when you have the right gear and a big imagination. Today, our multi-age group took to the puddles!
​Watching the older kids show the toddlers how to make the biggest splash is a lesson in physics, bravery, and pure, unadulterated joy. We didn't just get wet; we got curious!

Whether it’s pushing a weighted basket, carrying a stack of books, or hauling a gallon of milk (with help!), lifting heavy objects provides vital proprioceptive input. This helps little ones understand where their body is in space and can actually have a calming, grounding effect on their nervous system.
​Next time you see your toddler trying to move a chair—cheer them on! They aren’t just being "busy"; they’re building body awareness.

Today we’re practicing name recognition in the loveliest way. By peeling and sticking heart "leaves" onto their very own tree, our toddlers are connecting the letters of their names with a sense of pride and accomplishment.

We traded the brushes for sponges today, and the results are officially fridge-worthy. Sponge painting is such a fantastic sensory experience for toddlers—it's all about the "squish," the "splat," and the surprise of seeing a heart shape appear on the page!
