Our Drum Major auditions have concluded and it is my pleasure to announce that the 2021 Assistant Drum Major for the Samohi "Viking" Marching Band is RAEVA VASISHT.

Congratulations, Raeva. We all look forward to seeing what you bring to the position.

Congratulations to the top three winners in the 2021 Kiwanis Club Solo Competition. We congratulate ALL of our participating students, and at this time recognize the following students for the 9th/10th & 11th/12th Divisions.

9/10 Division:

Samohi represented in the Rose Parade by recent graduate Morgan Jarrow and Junior Ian DiMundo. I just watched them both on NBC’s National TV coverage. Wow! Way to go Morgan and Ian.

Congratulations to the 22(!) band students who were accepted into the 2021 California All-State Honor Ensembles. The Samohi Band Program had the second highest number of musicians accepted in all of California. Samohi Music: A tradition of excellence!
