Our young Sidney Poitier New American Film School at ASU is on an extraordinary roll. In addition to Mr. Poitier bequeathing his name to our school, we just opened brand new $100,000,000 stages, post facilities and innovation spaces in Mesa, AZ --- and we established the new ASU California Center at the historic Herald Examiner Building in downtown Los Angeles!
This Thursday at 3p, our incredible new director, 4-time President of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, Cheryl Boone Isaacs, will present her vision for the Future of Film Education at the Herald Examier. If you happen to be free, it would be so good to have you with us at this pivotal moment for ASU, for Higher Education, and for our industry. There will be tours of the Herald Examiner Building and a cocktail reception. Valet is provided on a first come first served basis. All the details are just below.
BTW, Arizona just passed a new tax incentive for Film and TV! So there's that to talk about as well. Hope you can make it!
