ALMA’s 2012 Welcome Week event at Obika Mozzarella Bar took place this past Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012 and was very successful with over 35 attendees! Latino Management Student Association (LMSA) members joined Anderson Latino Management Alumni and UCLA Anderson Staff for an evening of camaraderie, rekindling old friendships and networking.
Wanting to support a UCLA Anderson affiliated business, ALMA turned to the alumni database and found UCLA Anderson alum Vasco Noya Di Lannoy ’05 (Obika Mozzarella Bar’s CFO) for the evening’s venue. Obika Mozzarella Bar’s delicious food and wine was served on their covered outdoor patio and was one of the evening’s highlights.
Net proceeds from ALMA events go to Book Scholarships for current students. At our Welcome Week event, a $500 Book Scholarship was awarded to Leo Reilly ’13. Congratulations! (To donate to the Book Scholarship Fund, please contact Jeannine Villasenor ’09 at [email protected])
