🌟 Big moment for MUSE Virtual! 🌟

Congratulations to our Deva, who was selected to participate in a National Geographic Live presentation — an incredible honor, especially as MUSE was chosen for the LIVE version!

During the event, Deva had the opportunity to ask a question to guest scientist Martina Panisi, a conservation biologist and environmental educator whose work shines a light on the importance and diversity of invertebrates. 🐛🌍

Experiences like this bring learning to life — connecting our students directly with experts who are shaping the future of our planet.

🎥 The full recording will also be available soon on YouTube.

Big Ideas, Real People ✨

After reading and reflecting on Self-Reliance by Ralph Waldo Emerson, our students took learning beyond the page—inviting parents and teachers into the conversation.

Together, we explored what it means to trust your intuition, decide whether (or not) to follow the crowd, and find inspiration in the natural world around us. 🌿

The stories, honesty, and wisdom shared reminded us that learning is most powerful when it’s lived and experienced.

We are all richer for their generosity and reflections… and this is just the beginning. More to come! 💫

🌉📚 **Virtual Field Trip to Angel Island**

MUSE Virtual students were captivated during our virtual visit to Angel Island State Park as they explored the powerful history of Asian immigration to the United States.

In honor of Women’s History Month, students learned the story of Lum Wum Hoy, a young woman who courageously entered America under an alias in pursuit of a new life and opportunity.

Students also discovered the deeply moving poems carved into the walls by detainees at the Angel Island Immigration Station—powerful words that share stories of hope, resilience, and the uncertainty many immigrants faced while waiting to enter the United States.

History came alive as students connected with the voices and experiences of those who passed through this important place.

✨ *Hear these stories and many more at Angel Island.

In 6th Grade MUSE Virtual Science, our Science Bots are powerful learning partners 🤖✨

Students use them to research credible information, generate thoughtful inquiry questions, and deepen their exploration of scientific concepts. By integrating technology in meaningful ways, learners are enhancing their understanding and expanding their curiosity within the world of science.

What a great day of discovery, collaboration, and shared learning!

MUSE Virtual Middle School students took creativity to the kitchen and brought global flavors to life! 🌏👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

Our students designed and prepared their very own Korean Lasagne recipe — blending tradition with innovation in the most delicious way. From layering bold Korean-inspired flavors to perfecting their presentation, they showed teamwork, curiosity, and confidence every step of the way.

The result? Absolutely delicious. 👏✨

At MUSE Virtual, learning goes beyond the screen — it’s hands-on, collaborative, and full of flavor. 💚

One of our main goals at MUSE is to prepare our students for whatever comes next. That's why we're so proud of our Mentorship and Internship Programs!

Starting as early as first grade, we encourage our students to connect with mentors and internships to support their academics and Passions Projects. These experiences are documented in their Blueprint and can help students build a resume of hands-on work for college admissions, job interviews, or whatever else!

The Winter Olympics are in full swing, and our 5th and 6th-graders got to participate in their very own way.

Students designed, built, and raced their very own bobsleds -- Some in actual snow! -- and recorded the distance traveled. One design traveled 25 feet! What a cool way to learn about motion!

Creativity is best when students explore. Just check out this shark that MUSE Virtual sixth-grader Mackenzie sculpted with clay provided by the school!

I think we're gonna need a bigger boat. 🦈
