Fidel Gutierrez Memorial Golf Tournament

ierrez Memorial Golf Tournament is a charitable community event to benefit Youth Organizations throughout New Mexico. The specific Youth Organizations to benefit from the Golf Tournament will be determined annually. The proceeds from the golf tournament will be funneled and dispersed via the Fidel Lee Gutierrez Lifetime Fund through the Santa Fe Community Foundation. As a banker and lifelong resident of Santa Fe, Fidel’s charitable endeavors extended from the financial and business world to the community. He served on several Boards and committees including: Santa Fe Children’s Museum, Tierra Contenta Corp., Lensic Performing Arts Center, Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce and Girls, Inc. As one sponsor, of the golf tournament, said, “...honoring Fidel is just simply a Santa Fe civic responsibility...”

One of Fidel’s greatest joys in life was the game of golf. While on the golf course, Fidel was never without a smile.
