APISA would like to spotlight Connie Ngirchemat.

Bio:
Connie is a second-year transfer student majoring in sociology. Within the past year, Connie has been a core member and signer of APISA facilitating critical dialogues of Pacific Islander identities, more specifically those of Micronesia and Palau.

Through her project, she aims to motivate and introduce students of Outer Islands to pursue higher education through digital stories, and to raise awareness of educational issues in the Micronesian community.

Motivation Conference 22 Applications are OPEN and are due April 15th at 11:59pm!

MC is a 3 day 2 night student initiated outreach non yield program that primarily brings up Asian & Pacific Islander high school students from under represented & under resourced communities to UC Santa Cruz in hopes to inspire and motivate them pursue some form of higher education.

This year, we are outreaching to Bay Area student and because of that, the pick up locations are going to be at the following: Lake Merritt Bart Station, San Mateo Caltrain Station, & the San Jose Diridon Station.

This conference is absolutely FREE. Transportation, lodging, and food, ALL PROVIDED!
