We’re getting excited for FashionTeens 2027! ✨

A new year means new ideas, new designs, and a whole new runway of creativity!

FashionTeens invites middle and high school students from across Santa Cruz County to express themselves through fashion, wearable art, and creative design. From repurposed materials to unexpected creations, it’s all about imagination, individuality, and bringing your vision to life.

No sewing experience necessary—just a willingness to get creative!

A heartfelt thank you to Santa Cruz 💛

We’re so grateful for the space, the Saturday support, and the incredible access you provide—free materials, sewing machines, and hands-on guidance that make a real difference for our student designers.

Fábrica helped create the environment where ideas could come to life, and we truly couldn’t have done this season of FashionTeens without you.

We also want to acknowledge that we missed including Fábrica in our printed program and show acknowledgments—an oversight on our part, and one we sincerely appreciate the opportunity to correct here.

Thank you for being such an important part of this community and for supporting the next generation of creatives.

FashionTeens invites middle and high school students in Santa Cruz County to explore fashion as art through upcycling, design experimentation, and wearable storytelling.

Students work with donated and repurposed materials, learn basic design and construction techniques, and develop original pieces at their own pace.

No sewing experience is required—just curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to try something new.

FashionTeens is for 6th to 12th grade students in Santa Cruz County who want to design and create wearable art using upcycled and unconventional materials. Students have fun while learning design, collaborating with other artists and exploring different forms of self-expression along the way.

No sewing required. We love hot glue and duct tape:)
