Been feeling distant from this platform lately, but I’m still here. Still cuddling babies and teaching mamas how to breast/chestfeed .

It really is the deepest honor to be trusted to love and care for people’s newborn babies - often before the grandparents have even met them.

To be told that breastfeeding is going smoothly because of my support.

To be able to process a birth experience and hear your client describe her contractions as sacred.

To be present with it all.

Little reminder that our bodies are meant to be cyclical and shift with the seasons of life- whether that be pregnancy, postpartum, spring or summer 💜give yourself a little extra love and kindness

As your postpartum doula, I will not magically get your baby to sleep through the night, but I will teach you soothing techniques and new ways of swaddling to make your baby feel secure
I will talk through infant sleep and development and help you come up with a plan to get both you and your baby’s needs met
I will help you debunk the myths that “holding your baby makes them spoiled” or “your baby will suffocate if you doze off with them on your chest”
I will take care of your baby to give you a break from parenthood
I will listen to you speak to all of the emotions of parenthood- the new love and the possible longing for your old life
I will prepare a sitz bath for you to help with your physical healing and remind you of your strength in giving birth
I will make sure you and your baby are well nourished
I will rub your feet with warm oil as you doze off into a deep sleep- perhaps for the first time since your baby was born
I will support you in your lactation journey and give you tips on getting baby to latch effectively
I will urge you to look inward, and to tap back into your intuition in making parenting decisions
I will do your dishes and laundry, so you can wake up from your nap to a tidy house
Postpartum is raw and deep and vulnerable and beautiful and messy and I am feeling so very honored to be able to offer this service.
