Leading up to this past weekend was stressful for members in Pisa as they were preparing for our Outreach! In the end all of the stress was well worth it as we have enjoyed our time with the kids that we invited to UCSB! Our main goal of Outreach is to reach out to Polynesian kids to empower them onto a path to college. We hope we have changed their lives by showing them that the route to College is very much attainable. Most of our communities will often look at Polynesians for their phsycial abilites and not their academic merit. We are here to show them a path to higher education without the need of protecting pigskin on a football field. We seek to Build Unity through Leadership and Activism of our Polynesian youth. Even if we have just touched only one of the kids' lives for the better, it will have brought us closer to achieving our goal. However, we hope that we have changed many of their lives and their pursuit onto higher education. " Someone asked me once, "why do us Polys stick together all the time?" My response; "because when Polys stick together, they succeed together"

Here is PISA at zodos bowling alley spending quality time together! School has been in session since January 4th so sorry for being MIA, however members are working very hard in preparation of our Outreach where we invite high school students to UCSB to teach them the possibilities of going to college. While other members are working on our culture show which will happen in April! We are excited for these two events and while stress has overwhelmed most of us, we realize in the end it's worth it! However it's also important to find time to hang out with the group outside of our weekly meetings! Hope you guys week have been stellar!

PISA is all about peace, love and happiness. While it may be cliche, we are each other's family away from home. Even though all the members weren't able to come out after our meeting tonight, they were there with us in our thoughts. As Thanksgiving approaches, on behalf of my co-chair Ashley and I, we would like to wish our own family here at UCSB and their families a Happy Thanksgiving. Can't wait to see you guys next quarter!

To the African American students at Mizzou, we, as students of color at UCSB, stand with you in solidarity. To those who would threaten their sense of safety, we are watching.
We must be aware! We must take notice when another minority is being unfairly treated. We are a minority amongst a sea of minority's and it is important that we all try to stand together to battle racism. Please like, share and comment to show your support

Disappointment.
Brown's veto disappoints opponents of one-size-fits-all Asian label Many of California's Hmong immigrants arrived as refugees from war and genocide and have struggled, remaining one of the poorest ethnic groups in the state. By contrast, Taiwanese immigrants typically came to California with more money and education, and they now rank among the state's most affluent…
