Century High School!

Today, Monse “The Monster” competed in the CIF Southern Section Masters Meet in the 3200, closing out one of the most incredible careers in Century High School history. While her journey to the state meet may have come to an end, her impact on Century High School, the City of Santa Ana, and everyone who has had the privilege to watch her compete will last forever.

Monse has represented what it truly means to be a Centurion. She is not only an elite athlete in both cross country and track & field, but also an outstanding student and an even more incredible person. Her humility, dedication, passion, discipline, and work ethic have inspired so many around her. She has carried herself with grace and pride through every race, every practice, and every challenge.

From league championships to CIF competition, Monse has left behind a legacy of excellence that will be remembered at Century for years to come. She showed our students what is possible when talent meets hard work, perseverance, and heart.

Now, her next chapter begins at USC, where she will continue both her academic and athletic journey among some of the best in the nation. We have no doubt that this is only the beginning of the amazing things she will accomplish in life.

Monse, thank you for everything you have given to Century High School. You have made your school and community incredibly proud, and you will always represent The Centurion Way — commitment, honor, and success. 💙💚

Today, Century High School’s own Monse “The Monster” Santillan once again proved why she is one of the top distance runners in Southern California!

Competing in the CIF Southern Section Finals in both the 1600m and 3200m, Monse did exactly what she needed to do to advance in BOTH events and will now move on to next week’s CIF Southern Section Masters Meet!

Adding to an already incredible season, Monse is also the CIF Southern Section Division 3 Champion in the 3200m, earning a 1st place finish and solidifying herself as one of the premier long-distance runners in the state. Her determination, toughness, and competitive spirit continue to set her apart every time she steps on the track.

Monse is the complete student-athlete — an outstanding academic scholar and an elite competitor on the track. Her dedication, discipline, and relentless work ethic in the classroom and in competition earned her a full-ride scholarship to the University of Southern California (USC), where she will have the opportunity to compete alongside some of the best athletes in the nation and the world.

Century is incredibly proud of you, Monse! Your hard work, humility, and determination continue to inspire the entire Centurion family. The journey continues… and “The Monster” is just getting started!

Tonight, we ended the day at Century High School with a very special tradition — Senior Sunset for the Class of 2026.

The evening was filled with memories, laughter, games, a taco bar, an ice cream truck, yearbook distribution, and even a piñata! After years of hard work, dedication, challenges, and accomplishments, it was incredible to watch our seniors simply slow down, sit together, reflect, and enjoy one final sunset as Centurions.

One of the most heartfelt moments of the night was seeing the entire senior class come together for one giant hug — a powerful reminder of the connections, friendships, and family that have been built along the way.

Class of 2026, thank you for the memories, the pride, and the legacy you are leaving behind at Century. Your future is bright, and this sunset is only the beginning. 💙💚🌅

Today at Century High School, we proudly celebrated our Class of 2026 seniors during College Signing Day, recognizing the hard work, dedication, and perseverance of our Centurions as they take the next step toward their future goals.

This special event honored seniors who have committed to colleges and universities across the country, officially accepted their offers, and declared majors that reflect their passions and dreams. We also celebrated those students who are still exploring their options and discovering the path that is right for them — because every journey toward success looks different, and every future holds endless possibilities.

We are incredibly proud of our Class of 2026 seniors for the determination, resilience, and commitment they have shown throughout their high school journey. No matter where life takes you next, you will always be part of the Centurion family.

Tonight, Santa Ana Unified School District celebrated the 67th Annual Class of 2026 Top Seniors Recognition, and Century High School was proud to recognize 15 outstanding Centurions — including 2 Salutatorians and 1 Valedictorian!

This elegant evening celebrated the hard work, dedication, leadership, and perseverance of some of Century’s highest-achieving students. These Centurions represent the very best of our school community and continue to embody our values of commitment, honor, and success.

From academics and leadership to service and school pride, these students have left a lasting impact on Century High School, and we cannot wait to see the incredible things they accomplish in the future.
