What a meaningful way to kick off the new school year!

We started the year strong with our first Board of Director's meeting, where our Program Chair, Amanda, shared a beautiful poem that perfectly captured our "why" and reminded us of the purpose behind everything we do: making a positive impact in our Seminole County Public Schools community.

After the meeting, our dedicated board members and volunteers stayed to pack supplies at our Tools 4 Seminole Schools store to donate to local high schools, ensuring students and educators have the resources they need for a successful start to the year.

We're grateful for the passion, teamwork, and commitment of everyone involved. Here's to a year of service, support, and making a difference together! 💙📚✏️

Here’s to a Great School Year 🍎

To teachers who inspire,
To students who dream,
To sponsors who give
And support every team—

To a community united,
Generous and strong,
Where collaboration and kindness
Help everyone belong.

Together we’ll learn,
Together we’ll grow,
Supporting our schools
Every step that we go.

Here’s to 2026–2027,
A year filled with cheer—
With generosity, partnership,
And memories we’ll hold dear!

SCIENCE ON THE MOVE!
Thanks to our generous community partners, hands-on STEM is rolling straight to our students. Joining AdventHealth's ongoing support of our Optics bus, a new grant donation has secured the Presenting Sponsor role for the Mechanics Physics Bus!
This funding keeps our mobile classroom fully equipped to deliver interactive physics experiments directly to 4th and 5th graders across Seminole County Public Schools, expanding equitable access for all students, especially in our Title I schools.
Your support proves that science isn't just in a textbook; it’s an adventure waiting to be explored. Thank you AdventHealth for keeping these amazing learning tools on the road!

Help us thank Deshanti Wells as we celebrate her 2 year anniversary as Shopping Assistant! Deshanti makes sure our teachers have a great shopping experience at Tools 4 Seminole Schools by restocking shelves, sorting supplies, and helping teachers find product. We’re excited that Deshanti will continue working for the Foundation as she begins college this fall.

We are grateful to the Chesley G. Magruder Foundation for its continued support since 2020 and for its generous $5,000 grant to our Take Stock In Children - Seminole (TSIC) program.

This investment will help TSIC Seminole support 122 at-risk students during the 2026-2027 school year through one-on-one mentoring, college readiness coaching, scholarships, and educational enrichment opportunities. Students gain valuable skills in financial literacy, time management, SAT/ACT preparation, and college planning, helping them stay on track for success in high school and beyond.

Thank you, Chesley G. Magruder Foundation, for your commitment to empowering local students and expanding access to higher education opportunities.

BOARD MEMBER MONDAY!

We're thrilled to introduce a new member of the Foundation Board. Join us in welcoming Evgenia Jane Vokonitskaya!

Jane is a Client Executive at BNY Pershing, where she partners with Broker Dealers and Registered Investment Advisors to advance strategic priorities and support long-term growth.

Earlier in her career, Jane served as a Principal Product Manager, leading the strategy, digitization, and expansion of Pershing’s lending solutions, including securities-based lending and mortgage offerings.

Over more than a decade with the firm, she has built deep cross-functional experience partnering across product, service, and operations to solve complex client needs and drive strategic initiatives. She is also a graduate of Pershing’s yearlong Corporate Training Program.

In addition to her client responsibilities, Jane serves as global strategy lead for GENEDGE, BNY’s multigenerational employee business resource group, driving connection, innovation, and professional growth across generations and career stages.

Jane holds a B.S. in Economics with a concentration in Financial Economics from the University of Central Florida and is a graduate of Wharton’s Securities Industry Institute. She holds Series 7 and Series 24 licenses and is fluent in Russian.

Jane lives in Winter Springs with her husband, two children, and two dogs. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, and hosting friends and family.

“After years of being involved in our local schools through the PTA, Band Boosters, and committees within the Foundation for Seminole County Public Schools, I wanted to find a way to do more. I believe every child should have access to meaningful opportunities to learn, and every teacher should have the resources to support student success. Joining the board felt like a natural next step, an opportunity to contribute more meaningfully by bringing my professional experience and network to support the community I call home.”
