Episode 3 of the Kids Create a Beast Chronicles! Today, we are investigating:
💙 Teddy, a blue Shadow Beast so skilled at hiding that sometimes even Teddy cannot find Teddy.
🍎 Hatty, guardian of the magical apple forest, rescuer of lost travelers, and proud owner of highly advanced Apple Radar.
👑 Jasmine Girl, Princess of the Sky Kingdom, distributor of sunshine sparkles, kindness, and possibly emergency cupcakes.
These incredible creatures were dreamed up by elementary students during one of my school visits. I absolutely love using their artwork to celebrate their imaginations, confidence, storytelling, and gloriously unexpected ideas.
Because a child does not need to create something “perfect” for it to be powerful.
Sometimes creativity looks like a carefully planned character.
Sometimes it looks like ALL THE BLUE.
And sometimes it arrives wearing a crown with its own entrance soundtrack. 😂

This week's mystery files include...

🐭 Mosty the Mouse (loud noises make him cry)
🐶 Dinny the Dog (prefers library specials over hanging out with other dogs)
🐋 Blubber the Blue Whale (rescues people in the ocean!)

Every one of these amazing creatures was imagined by an elementary student during one of my school visits, and every week I get the privilege of celebrating their incredible creativity.

One thing I've learned? Kids don't think inside the box... they usually throw the box away altogether. 😂
And honestly... I wouldn't have it any other way.
