Y'all know I love a Dolly moment. She's a legend forever and always. The work she's done with Dolly Parton's Imagination Library is game changing especially for kids that grew up like me in "them Appalachian mountain hollers" and need all the loving outreach they can get. I'm trying real hard to give back to children in my own little way with my books. Come see me today Hartwell Raleigh and check out all the fabulous book stuff and things! 😍⭐📚🐐

🚨🔎 NEW BEAST INVESTIGATION! 🔎🚨
Episode 4 of the Kids Create a Beast Chronicles is here, and this week’s lineup is absolutely delightful.
Meet:
🐞 Limm the Ladybug
Super smart, loves to paint, loves to run, and knows that sometimes being smart means trying again until you figure it out.
👑🐱 King the Kitty
He is the king. He makes all the meals for the queen.
That is the entire royal job description and honestly... I respect it. 😂
🐰 Racey the Rabbit
Loves basketball, pizza, airplanes, traveling, and apparently making friends with EVERYONE she meets.

These incredible beasts were created by elementary students during one of my school visits, and every time I look at them, I’m reminded how much kids reveal through imagination.
They don’t just create random animals.
They create helpers. Thinkers. Chefs. Adventurers. Friends.
Little pieces of what they admire, enjoy, and value show up in every drawing, and that is some serious Super Unique Beast magic.

Which beast is your favorite this week: Limm, King, or Racey?

Episode 3 of the Kids Create a Beast Chronicles! Today, we are investigating:
💙 Teddy, a blue Shadow Beast so skilled at hiding that sometimes even Teddy cannot find Teddy.
🍎 Hatty, guardian of the magical apple forest, rescuer of lost travelers, and proud owner of highly advanced Apple Radar.
👑 Jasmine Girl, Princess of the Sky Kingdom, distributor of sunshine sparkles, kindness, and possibly emergency cupcakes.
These incredible creatures were dreamed up by elementary students during one of my school visits. I absolutely love using their artwork to celebrate their imaginations, confidence, storytelling, and gloriously unexpected ideas.
Because a child does not need to create something “perfect” for it to be powerful.
Sometimes creativity looks like a carefully planned character.
Sometimes it looks like ALL THE BLUE.
And sometimes it arrives wearing a crown with its own entrance soundtrack. 😂
👇 Which beast would you choose as your adventure companion?
