CTEC students have had a truly X-traordinary year and to keep our programs going, we wanted to gift the district counselors with something to help keep CTEC in their minds as we transition to the CIC (Canyons Innovation Center) in the next year. These welding students and their classmates created an X design that we attached a laser cutout of our new CIC logo. Yesterday and today, these students Dylan and Harrison came with the Welding instructor, Mr. Snell, and our Business Development Specialist, Mr. Soter, to deliver those to secondary counselors across the district. We are so grateful to the counselors, coordinators, and administrators who support the X-traordinary work we do at CTEC/CIC. Here’s some pics from our visits to the schools!

WHAT A DAY! Our Construction Management program worked with cornercanyonhigh’s Interior Design 1010 class, and its teacher Mrs. Jensen, to create interior design schemes for our project house. Today, the Interior Design students presented their plans to our Construction Mgmt students, CTEC Admin, and some Canyons District Board of Education members. We have amazing plans for the future of this project house and can’t wait to see it all unfold.

Industry partnerships in action! Our construction management class took a trip down to our new Canyons Innovation Center building to see Hughes Construction in action. They are currently working on building our new trades building! Students learned about the tilt-up wall process used to make large walls with cement. It was great to see industry in action on a building that means so much to our program.
