At Math Matters Tutoring we provide individualized private tutoring in your home or online. We offer anywhere from homework help or studying/test taking skills, to reviewing past or previewing future concepts. Our priority is for your child to gain confidence in their math skills by helping them learn in a way that fits them best! I started Math Matters Tutoring after privately tutoring kids from ages 7-18 for the past four years. I personally know what it feels like to be crying over my math homework at the table and neither of my parents knowing how to help me, and that’s why I started this business. I understand how important it is to have an instructor that explains math concepts in a way that is best understood by the student. I am a University of Utah graduate with a degree in Mathematics after transferring from BYU where I had the opportunity to swim at the collegiate level. I maintained a 4.0 gpa all four years of high school and was a state swim champion swimmer. These experiences have taught me how to manage my time through long hours of practice and study. I understand the struggles youth face everyday in and out of the classroom. As the owner and head tutor I personally train all tutors to ensure the best quality of guidance for our students.
