If you plan on using GPS to get around, spend a minute looking at the directions and map beforehand so that you have an easier time following along just with the audio. If you are found to be driving distracted, it could affect the compensation you get for your injuries!

States are slowly starting to apply road safety laws and traffic regulations to electric bikes and scooters, but drivers are still not required to hold insurance. That means that if you're injured in an accident involving a motorist driving one of these new vehicles, the lawsuit needs to be based on the basic principles of tort law - i.e. by collecting your own evidence and proving that your injuries were the direct result of the other person's negligence or reckless behavior.

Statistics have shown that frequently changing lanes on the highway doesn't actually get you there any more quickly, but it can and does cause car more accidents than staying in one lane for the duration of the trip. Stay safe by picking a lane and avoiding passing unless absolutely necessary.

Warranties and labels can be confusing - what is clear to one person may be incomprehensible to somebody else. Printing a warning label on a product does not let a manufacturer or seller off the hook for injuries, death, or other damages that are caused by a faulty product. The warning label has to be adequate, and the manufacturer or seller still needs to provide adequate instructions.

No amount of money can't ever really make up for permanent injuries. However, just because irreparable damage can't be fixed doesn't mean the guilty party shouldn't pay; Get the compensation you deserve.

Just because something is pretty doesn't mean it isn't dangerous. Many states have what's called the "attractive nuisance doctrine" which holds that the landowner could be held liable for injuries to children trespassing on their property if the injury is caused by an object that is likely to attract children. A good example of this is a construction site where kids are likely to try and sneak onto the property to play.
