Several Elliott Middle JAG students have been working very hard over the past few days preparing applications and speeches to become part of this year’s officer team. We would like to recognize these students for a job well done and congratulate them for being selected as 2026-2027 Elliott County Middle School Jobs for America’s Graduates Officers!

These students will lead our program this year and continue developing skills they will use in high school and beyond. We are very proud of their hard work and determination! Congratulations, Lions!

Our Elliott JAG community and Elliott County School System are mourning the loss of 8th grade Jobs for America’s Graduates student Jaleigh Marie Ayers.

A third-year member of our JAG program and a smiling, fun-loving student, Jaleigh brought a natural creativity and artistic talent to everything she did. Her talent was evident both in and out of the classroom, and her artwork became a part of projects throughout JAG and beyond.

Please keep Jaleigh’s family and friends, our Elliott County School community, our Elliott JAG programs, and all who knew and loved her in your thoughts during this difficult time. Jaleigh will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

An Elliott Middle JAG tradition continued today with our annual 8th grade trip to Kings Island. This trip is hosted each year as a way to celebrate the accomplishments of our outgoing members as they conclude their middle school chapter and transition to high school.

We are very proud of all of our 8th grade JAG members for a job well done and look forward to seeing them succeed in high school!

Every journey begins with a destination.📍

This year, the destination was Salt Lake City, Utah for JAG’s National Career Development Conference. Only this time, our students went the extra mile. 1,738 miles to be exact.

In the days leading up to , Elliott JAG students traveled through two national parks, five different states, and explored the western part of the country like never before. From the Mormon Row Historic District to the Old Faithful geyser, these students made memories and gained experiences to last a lifetime.

Our students’ hard work and dedication all year long paid off today as we concluded a successful and head back to Sandy Hook with new awards, new experiences, and a new vision for the future of our programs.

Earlier this week, 8th grade students returned to Ashland Community & Technical College to work with students in the Computer Aided Drafting and Design program. Through this opportunity, students explored the world of 3D printing by designing and printing a personalized object of their own.

Thank you to ACTC for allowing our students to receive this hands-on experience and dive into a future career opportunity!
