More sailing opportunities in Tulsa- an annual youth sailing camp at Windycrest Sailing Club (WSC) on Keystone Lake this past week. WSC is truly one of the best- kept secrets in Oklahoma. Check it out.

Another form of sailboat racing in Tulsa is this- radio controlled. The Greater Tulsa Model Yacht Club has existed for around 20 years & sails regularly throughout the year at a pond near 11th and Mingo in Tulsa.  Each boat is controlled remotely by a driver using rudder & sail control. The boats are quite agile, realistic to drive and fun to race. Each race lasts about 6 to 10 minutes and we typically complete about a dozen-plus races when we sail. Just another example of Tulsa sailing opportunities nearby! For more info, PM me here.

A couple of outings today, sneaking in just behind Tulsa’s morning showers! Most aboard today were 100% first-timers to sail. We covered tacking, sail trim, helm control and much more! All did GREAT! Racing season has begun, in the rain today, at Windycrest Sailing Club. Hard to invite friends to join in on such a day. Cool. Damp. Kinda like learning to drink coffee i suppose- an aquired taste to fully appreciate the flavor (of today). If you’re interested in learning more about WSC, or sailing, PM me here. Tulsa Sailing is planning to be at Windycrest Sailing Club on Keystone Lake this Saturday, April 9th late morning through midday. What do you think? Will they come back for more? Another GREAT Tulsa Sailing "sail adventure" today out of Windycrest Sailing Club with these fine folks. It was HER first time on a sailboat... something she always wanted to do. HE made it happen.
Both active outdoors people... I have to think they'll be back. Their smiles gave it away. Do what you love. Love what you do.

Caught the tail end of today’s breeze, on a power reach. Fall sailing is some of the best in Oklahoma, while the water’s still warm! We’re not public sailing now during high COVID numbers- but hope to be back soon! You can still PM us to get on a list for the next sail date!

A fun day of racing yesterday at Windycrest Sailing Club on Lake Keystone. That's the Keystone FLYER with the white/blue stripe spinnaker. If you'd like to try a sailing experience like this, simply PM us here on this page and we'll plan an outing this fall.
We’ll be sailing the J80 “Flyer” Sunday at 12 noon at Windycrest Sailing Club- i have some room if you want to go! Short notice, but we’ll be playing with some MC Scow sailboats in cooler weather and fair winds-could not resist!
