We have a new fulldome show! Tomorrow (Friday) we debut our new show "Unveiling the Invisible Universe" at 8:15pm. This is a terrific show that explores the part of the universe we can't see with our eyes. In this show, we will see how astronomers detect invisible light from exotic objects, and what they can learn from it. Don't forget that at 7pm we have our ever popular weekly "The Sky Tonight" show where we explore the current night sky. Tickets are available in advance and at the door. Information, and tickets can be found at www.palomar.edu/planetarium. We hope to see you tomorrow!

Hello Facebook friends and family. Just a heads up that our next total lunar eclipse occurs tomorrow night (Thursday night) and will be visible from our location. The weather forecast is sketchy, but if the clouds clear long enough, you will be treated to a pretty cool event. The picture below shows the progression of the eclipse from start to finish and all times are local Pacific times. No special equipment needed, just a place where you have a clear view of the Moon. NOTE: Due to the late evening timing of the eclipse the planetarium WILL NOT be hosting an event for this one. ENJOY!
