Come see me at the Arroyo Grande Harvest Festival this weekend. I'll be doing some spoon carving demos and sharing information about upcoming workshops and teen programs!

The Arroyo Grande Harvest Festival is a cherished community celebration of the area and its history, which dates back to 1937. As you know, it is also a special time to bring together friends and family to strengthen relationships and our sense of community.

If you're interested in learning and making your own hand-carved wooden spoon and natural gourd bowl, join me at cityfarmslo.org on Saturday, October 4th. Class is from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM and cost $125. I provide the tools, wood, instruction and gourds and you get to keep the 11 piece carving set to take with you to continue carving and making amazing crafts at home.

Calling all kids, teens and parents looking to connect with nature and gather more primitive and ancestral skills! Gathering Skills Nature Program is looking to connect with you. Gathering Skills Teen nature program is focussed on building curiosity, confidence and resilience as well as an appreciation of the natural world through project based hands-on teaching and experiential learning.

Gathering Skills is offering a new after school nature program in Morro Bay on Wednesdays from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. This program is geared towards teens and middle school kids ages 12-16. We will consider kids slightly outside this age group on a case-by-case basis. The location is at Morro Bay State park and surrounding areas. Start Date is September 10, 2025.
