🎙️ PACE PODCAST INTERVIEW

Stories That Teach: Building Kindness and Belonging with Kaberi

I am delighted to share a very special experience from today! 💕🎙️

I had the pleasure of sitting down with Ipsita for a PACE Podcast conversation about a subject that has been at the heart of my life and work for many years — education, storytelling, inclusion, kindness, and creating a true sense of belonging.

Our conversation, Stories That Teach: Building Kindness and Belonging with Kaberi, gave me an opportunity to reflect on my journey as an educator, author, podcaster, and longtime member of the PACE community.

For me, stories are more than words. They can teach, connect, encourage empathy, celebrate differences, and remind each of us that everyone deserves to feel seen, valued, and included. 🌎💗

A heartfelt thank you to Ipsita and PACE for giving me this wonderful opportunity to share my story and the values that continue to guide my work.

And after our interview, Ipsita and I ended the evening in the best possible way — enjoying dinner together and continuing our wonderful conversation! 😊

🎧 Coming September 2026

The episode will be streaming on PACE social media, Spotify, and YouTube. I look forward to sharing the episode with you when it goes live!

💕 A Journey of Love, Growth & Possibility — Nihal’s Story 💕

This morning, as I listen to this episode, my eyes are filled with tears of joy and nostalgia.

For twelve years at PACE, I had the privilege of walking beside young adults with diverse abilities—watching them learn, grow, overcome challenges, discover their strengths, and move toward greater independence.

Today’s episode holds a very special place in my heart.

🌟 Episode 64 of The Enchanted Jungle Community tells Nihal’s story—a journey of growth, perseverance, possibility, and the power of a caring community.

As I listen, memories of my years as an educator at PACE come flooding back—the students who taught me as much as I taught them, the families who trusted us, and the teachers, therapists, BSAs, instructional assistants, administrators, and other dedicated professionals who worked together to help each young adult reach their potential.

Nihal’s journey reminds me of something I have always believed:

When we see the possibilities within an individual, nurture their strengths, and walk beside them with patience and belief, growth can happen in extraordinary ways. 🌱💕

To Nihal and his wonderful parents, Ram and Nirmala, thank you for allowing me to share this beautiful journey.

And to all my former students and their families—you remain a treasured part of my life. Being your teacher was never simply a profession. It was a privilege, a responsibility, and one of the greatest joys of my life. ❤️

🎙️ NEW EPISODE — GOING LIVE TOMORROW!

💙 A Journey of Love, Growth & Possibility — Nihal’s Story 💙

Tomorrow, Monday, August 31, Episode 64 of The Enchanted Jungle Community Podcast takes me into a story that has remained close to my heart throughout my years as an educator.

It is Nihal’s story—a journey shaped by family, educators, therapists, caregivers, community, perseverance, and above all, possibility.

I had the privilege of being one of Nihal’s teachers and of watching his journey continue long after he left my classroom. His story reminds us that growth does not follow one predetermined path—and that when a young person is surrounded by people who believe in his potential, remarkable things can happen.

This episode is also my heartfelt tribute to Nihal’s parents, Ram and Nirmala, and to the many teachers, therapists, administrators, instructional assistants, behavior support professionals, and others who have walked beside Nihal through different chapters of his life.

💙 It truly takes a village—and every member of that village matters.

I hope Nihal’s journey encourages families, educators, and communities to keep looking beyond limitations and toward strengths, growth, dignity, and possibility.

🎧 Episode 64 goes live tomorrow, August 31, at 8:00 AM on Spotify.

Please listen, share, and join me in celebrating Nihal and the village that continues to believe in him. 🌱💙

🎙️ Why These Conversations Matter to Me

Every time I put on my headphones and sit down to record The Enchanted Jungle Community Podcast, I am reminded that this podcast is much more than a collection of episodes. ❤️

Through personal reflections, conversations, stories, and the voices of people from different walks of life, I return again and again to values that are very close to my heart — kindness, friendship, resilience, harmony, inclusivity, respect, and the importance of human connection.

These are also the values at the heart of my children’s books, The Friendly Learning Academy: The FLA Way and The FLA Green Team to the Rescue. I believe the lessons we teach our children about accepting differences, caring for one another, working together, and protecting our shared world are especially meaningful in the times we live in today. 🌎🕊️

If these ideas resonate with you, I would love to have you join our growing Enchanted Jungle Community.

🌱 When a Connection Becomes a Seed for the Future

I was deeply touched to receive this beautiful reflection from Dr. Sanchita Bhattacharya after she listened to Episode 63, “Seeds Planted Long Ago: From Parent Volunteer to Educator.”

She reminded me of something very meaningful: sometimes we do not realize where the smallest acts of connection may eventually lead.

Years ago, as a parent volunteer, I helped students who needed a little additional support to understand what was being taught in the classroom. I could never have imagined then that those early experiences would help plant the seeds for my own journey into education—and eventually into writing and podcasting.

Sanchita beautifully described it as the idea that “a connection never goes fruitless.” 🌱

What a wonderful reminder that when we take the time to encourage, support, and connect with another person, we may be planting a seed whose impact will be felt many years later.

Thank you, Sanchita, for listening so thoughtfully and for sharing this beautiful reflection. 🙏🏽💕

“Seeds Planted Long Ago: From Parent Volunteer to Educator”
The Enchanted Jungle Community Podcast

Today’s episode is especially close to my heart. 💕 As I listened to it this morning, I found myself walking down memory lane—reliving the people, experiences, and small moments that helped shape my journey from a parent volunteer to an educator.

Sometimes the seeds planted in our lives many years ago continue to grow in ways we could never have imagined. 🌱

In this episode, I reflect with gratitude on some of the wonderful people who became part of that journey—including Vicki, Hilary, Theresa, Jenna, Heidi, and Cindy—and on the encouragement, opportunities, and relationships that helped nurture my love for education and service to children.

My journey has taught me that education is about so much more than academics. It is about relationships, encouragement, belonging, kindness, and believing in the possibilities within every child. ❤️

To the teachers, administrators, paraprofessionals, therapists, behaviorists, parents, volunteers, and community members who quietly plant seeds every day: you may never know how far those seeds will grow. 🌱🌳

I invite you to listen to Episode 63 and perhaps take your own little walk down memory lane. Who planted some of the important seeds in your life?

🌱 NEW EPISODE TOMORROW! 🌱

“Seeds Planted Long Ago: From Parent Volunteer to Educator”

Sometimes the smallest seeds—planted through volunteering, friendship, encouragement, and service—grow into a lifelong journey of purpose.

In tomorrow’s episode of The Enchanted Jungle Community Podcast, I reflect on my journey from being a parent volunteer to becoming an educator, author, podcaster, and community advocate. I share how the wonderful people I met along the way helped nurture my passion for supporting children, families, educators, and individuals with diverse abilities.

My heartfelt gratitude to Hilary, Heidi, Cindy, and Theresa for being meaningful parts of this journey and for their friendship, encouragement, and support. I am also deeply grateful to Jenna, who recently welcomed me to Baker Elementary School’s Literacy Day as a children’s author. That experience was a beautiful reminder of how seeds planted years ago can continue to grow and blossom in unexpected ways. 💕🙏🏽

I warmly invite parents, educators, school administrators, therapists, behaviorists, paraprofessionals, community advocates, and everyone who believes in the power of education and service to listen and share.

🌟 Wishing Our School Communities a Wonderful New School Year! 🌟

As a new school year begins, I would like to send my warmest wishes to all the teachers, administrators, therapists, behaviorists, paraprofessionals, support staff, students, parents, caregivers, and family members who come together each day to make learning possible. 🍎📚

A successful school year is built by an entire community—by those who teach and lead, those who encourage and support, and those who help every child and young adult feel seen, valued, included, and capable of growing.

May this school year be filled with kindness, curiosity, patience, resilience, collaboration, friendship, and joy in learning. May we celebrate progress in all its forms, remembering that every learner has unique strengths and every step forward deserves recognition.

To our students: Believe in yourselves, keep learning, keep growing, and never be afraid to try again. 🌱

And to all the wonderful adults walking beside them: thank you for the countless ways—both seen and unseen—that you nurture, guide, encourage, and advocate for our young people.

Here’s to a happy, inclusive, meaningful, and successful school year for all! 💕📚🌎

Together, we nurture. Together, we grow. Together, we make a difference. 🌿

Preparing Young Adults for Life Outside the Classroom

Education is not only about what students learn within the classroom—it is also about preparing them to navigate life with greater confidence, independence, and a sense of purpose.

In this episode of The Enchanted Jungle Community Podcast, I reflect on the importance of helping young adults develop practical life skills, communication, self-advocacy, workplace readiness, and meaningful connections within their communities.

Every young adult deserves to be seen for their strengths, supported in reaching their individual goals, and given opportunities to lead a fulfilling life beyond the classroom. This preparation is a shared journey involving educators, families, service providers, and the wider community.

I hope you will listen, reflect, and share this episode with others who believe in creating inclusive pathways toward greater independence and possibility for all young adults. 💕🌿
